I've posted this on TTC #1 too...I want to make sure I get all the help I can.
I am heading to the DR on Friday for my 7th month of unsuccessfully TTC. Any suggestions/questions that I should definitely get answered?
I'm taking the DH with me. I can't wait to see his face in the waiting room!

have you had any testing at all done yet? I have been tested for PCOS so far and it was negative..next cycle i go for progesterone and FSH testing. You could ask about having dh's sperm tested too i believe.

Do you chart your temps? If you do make sure that you take your charts in.

Also have you got a CD 21-22 Day checkup done yet? That is what helped my Dr to see what was wrong with me.

Please keep us updated... Good Luck

im guessing this is what i go for next month. I have to have blood work on cycle days 3,10, and 21 for FSH and progesterone. i think the FSH tests your eggs to see if they are "gooD"

All of the above. I would take in any records you have--charts, or if you just write things down, take that in. I know that this is weird, but be thinking about this if you don't have it written down: your BDing pattern and CF pattern. My doc wanted to know this stuff...are we doing it on the right days? Is my scant CF a concern? Same as with any doc visit, they'll ask family history. I found that I had to call around to get my family's gynecological history. It actually became VERY important. It just gave them a different starting point from what they would have chosen without it and some of my problems were detected MUCH faster this way (by MONTHS!).

Good luck and let us know what you find out. We'll all be thinking about you!!!

I don't temp--it doesn't work for me because...well it doesn't...but I have been charting AF and BDing and also when I test positive OPK's...I'm assuming the blood tests..and the DH...I just have NO patience and want to speed up the process...I'm also 5 days DPO-do you think she'll test me??
I'm thinking the waterworks will help too

Hehe...waterworks never hurt.

I'm glad you have records of what's been going on. Your doc might want to see them! I bet it's something relatively minor, or perhaps nothing's wrong at all--you're just to take a little bit longer. I know that's not much comfort, but it's also nice to know that nothing is standing in the way, right?

I hope that you get great news--please keep us updated!!!

Oh, and your doc may test, but 5 DPO is a little early...implantation, in general, usually hasn't even happened yet, so there's nothing to measure. Maybe...?

The dr asked me to chart everything--so that's good. I really don't need to rush, unfortunately I think about my husband's age and the fact that I'm a teacher and don't want to have a child and have to go back to school--it would be a good excuse to take a year off!
I appreciate your help and support. I realize that 5 DPO's is earlier..actually this month was a doozy and that's just a guess due to "the pain". My ovulation chart says I should be 12 DPO! Who knows, but Him...and only time will tell. Thank goodness I have this board!
