I went and bought the FS OPK from Target cuz I've heard they work pretty well. I started my Clomid early last week and the OPK tests from walmart were crapping out on me so I had to hurry to get some good ones! Well, the first day I tested I got a very very very light line, but it was CD11!!! How can Clomid mess with your OPK tests? My doctor never told me, so I'm wondering.

Well then I got a very light line again on CD13, then again a little darker on CD14 and then today it is DARK but not as dark as the test line.

Now I've gotten positive OPK's for 3 days in a row before (leading up to the surge, the surge, and then post surge) but this time it seems odd! I've been using OPK since July so this seems odd.

Anyone got any ideas? I know normal ovulation is on CD14 (but I'm usually 16 or 17) and my periods are about 34 days instead of 28.

Oh I hope we're doing it on the right days We're not jack rabbits and usually only do it when my tests are positive (and maybe one or two other random days in the month). So I rely on my OPK a LOT!!

Oh and this time I am testing post OPK. I haven't done that before and I want to see if I get a positive reading more than once in the cycle. I've been about the same 16 or 17 days since July so I think I am ovulating since I get roughly the same results.

Again, what do you think?!

Jessica

I don't know, I have never used FR OPK's. I always use Answer.

I've used FR OPKs for numerous cycles and always get more than one + OPK in a row (definite positives). Last month I got 3 in a row too. FF typically confirms O the day after my first +. I won't test after 2 + days now. I will probably switch brands next month, but I'm always scared another brand won't work for me lol As annoying as this is, I know they work! I started testing at 12dpo this month and there was a faint line. Today is CD17 and I think tomorrow will be definite +.

What is FF? So you do think that the FR tests are too sensitive and that is why they show multiple positives? I normally got 3 positives with the Answer brand, but then the positives went away. I think that was just catching the beginning, middle and end of ovulation, but with the FR tests I'm not sure since its all over the board! I just wondered if maybe taking Clomid had something to do with it? I'm not sure how Clomid effects the OPK tests.

Thanks

clomid completely screws with opks EARLY on!!! i got almost pos opks right after finishing taking my clomid. i have used FR opks, i think they are ok, but i get MUCH MUCH MUCH better luck with clearblue easy opks. they just seem to detect the surge and then go back to neg. they aren't pos for days like the others. i recommend them. don't start with opks till 3 days after your last clomid pill. that's what i was told and it seems to work. otherwise you could get false pos's.

Uh, are you serious?! Well, if I still ovulated when I normally would, I think I will be okay? I dunno though. I do think I might have ovulated today - I had SuPER bad cramping this morning.

Thanks!
