Should I test?

Hi everyone,

How is everyone doing? I joined awhile ago and haven't really posted a whole lot but always keep up to date on everyone. AF is due on Friday and I am anxious to test, however I am afraid of another BFN. Should I test or not? My b-day is Sat and it would be a nice present for me and DH.

i would at least wait till the day of or the day after af is due hon.good luck

I would hold out until at least the day af is due. I'm trying to wait til Friday also.

Oh, I agree! While it would be a nice early birthday present to get a BFP, you may unnecessarily ruin it for yourself as well if you get a BFN because you tested too early!!! Give it til AF is late, then test away! You'd still get an answer on your birthday!!!

I say wait until AF is atleast 2 days late and make it a belated bday gift.
I'm waiting to test on my Birthday too which is Monday. But by then I'll be 17 dpo and if AF isn't here by then well....here's hoping for the best!

I tested and it was a BFN! sigh I thought I was spotting a bit yesterday but today nothing.
I have been late before so I am sure old AF will find me yet!

Doing ok, I guess. Thanks.
AF dropped in today, miserable woman that she is.
DH took kids and I out for supper last night. I feel I am at a turning point now. Just turned 35 and everything that I read says that once you reach this age that the fertility rate drops.
I just hope it happens soon as DH does not have a child of his own.
Must keep my hopes up, my DD turns 9 on Tuesday so have another birthday to prepare for.

I am so sorry that she showed. how long have you been TTC. It took me 14 cycles so I know how hard it is!

I'm sorry about your BFN! I do hope that you enjoyed your birthday, though...

35 is a rough estimate for docs to go by. It doesn't mean that the night you turn 35, your eggs suddenly rot. You may have several good years of eggs left! Still, if it makes you feel better, go see your doc. S/he can go over the risks that some women face after age 35 and tell you what might work better for you. Of course, you know that being 35 entitles you to be able to go to the doc after 6 months of trying instead of having to wait a year! Take advantage of that...consider it your bday present to yourself!

We will be on month 11 for trying to conceive now. I have already been to the doc about it. He says that since we know I can have kids that DH should get tested. He says he will do that this month so we will see. If all turns out well with him then the doc says he can run other tests on me.
