hey everyone well i just got home from the dr.and omg was she retarded lol.ok here is the scoop my levels for thyroid were pretty high i guess.but she didnt want to give me anything yet.she wanted me to have more blood taken.Fasting! so i couldnt do it today b/c i have been eating and drinkin like no tomorrow. i cant do it over the weekend no clinics are open,and i cant do it monday i guess MLK day.so i have to do this on tuesday.and she said with the progesterone i should start af 2-4 days after completing the pills.which tomorrow is my last dose and if i still dont start(which i know i wont) call her before thursday(i leave for NY thursday) and she is wanting to start me on bcp. which i guess i will have to deal with i dont wanna do that not at all.so who knows what will happen between now and then.anyways so i got no meds today just a script for blood work lol. now i have to wait a few more days for the blood work.and i wont know anything probably till i come back from vacation.grrrr oh well i tried right? lol

Oh well. At least your slowly getting somewhere. My levels were slightly higher to but my doc went ahead and gave me a perscription. I flat out told her to not even think about BCP. Dont know that i'll ever go back on them. Anyhow, i hope you get AF so you dont have to drag this out. Good luck.

Hello, I thought I would give you a little input. I have hypothyroidism, which means I don't produce enough tsh, thyroid stimulating hormone, as soon as my dr found out she referred me to an internalist to get on meds. My tsh levels were at 68 when I was first tested, and it took about five months for the meds to regulate my thyroid and for me to ovulate. You may want to see a specialist about this, my dr was pretty up front in letting me know that she couldn't do much for this type of problem. I really hope this helps, it sounds like your dr is giving you the run around. Good luck, and keep us posted!!

i have had this problem with this dr before but i cant do anything yet till my cards for medicaid come in.unless i pay for it out of pocket.so i am just gonna go in for more blood work yet again and see what happens then.

I'm sorry that you feel like you're hitting a brick wall, Kim...but really, it's more like a Jell-O wall. You're getting somewhere, just not very fast. I hope that you're able to find out a little more and I can't WAIT for you to get your Medicaid cards--THAT should start speeding things along, right?

As for BCP, I'm not a fan, and since you're TTC, I'm betting that you're not a fan. There are other things that they can do, so I'd be sure to sit down for a longer chat with a doc before starting.
