Hi girls! As some of you might remember, I started my first round of Clomid about 3 weeks ago. I did get O pain (which is okay cuz I know it worked!). I started AF yesterday (Saturday) and the pain was so horrible that not even my OTC drugs worked. I ended up taking some leftover Hydrocodone (I know that is bad, but its for severe pain from when I had a tooth infected). That did the trick for about 6-8 hours, although I still slept for about 12 hours yesterday. It hurt to stand, walk, sit, lay down. I literally couldn't do anything!!

Well, I thought today would be better. NOPE! I woke up and the cramps are so bad I have to practically bend all the way over. Can Clomid cause this much pain during AF? As far as I know I don't have PCOS or Endo..........but then again I haven't been checked yet for any of that stuff. I'm having an HSG test done in January, but I'm wondering if I should try CLomid again for December????

I've heard that Clomid can cause those Cyst things in your ovaries, do you think that is what is happening? I'm going to call the Dr, but today is Sunday and I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Thanks!!

Jessica

I'm sorry you are in so much pain! I'd say if the pain is that severe, then you need to put a call into your doctor. I will say that my cramps on Clomid are worse than cycles without, but with the severity you are saying- you could have possibly had a cyst rupture or something.... I hope you feel better soon and keep us posted..

well my dr. told me that if i had bad pain on the clomid, that i should call. could be cysts. clomid stimulates that ovaries and sometimes it overstimulates them. clomid is NOT for everyone. I wouldn't do it again, until you are checked out by a dr. I hope all is ok!!!!

Thanks a bunch! I do plan on calling my dr in the morning. For 1 thing, if he has me do Clomid again I only have 2 more days until I would need to start it. I am feeling better right now, but I took some painkillers so the pain may just be hidden. All I know is that it hurt - BAD!!! I literally couldn't do anything. I normally don't cramp at all, if I do it doesn't really hurt.

I hope they aren't cysts. I can't really go back to the doctor until January 1st for insurance reasons, otherwise I'm paying 100%. Not cool. If it did burst, is that it? I mean I shouldn't have to go to the doctor if it already burst right?

Thanks again!!

I'm not sure, but your doc would probably want to check and make sure the cyst did burst before prescribing clomid again. That's if he/she knew you had a cyst to start with. He/She may want to do an ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok.

I called the doctor and he thinks its a stomach virus. I guess it is going around here and that was his best guess. I eally didn't want to go in if I didn't have to since I'd be paying 100%. I feel a little better today. The sharp pains have subsided. Now its just a normal cramping feeling. MUCH MUCH BETTER!! But not 100%.

Thanks girls
