DH and I went to my dr on Friday and it was very disappointing. She first lectured me FOREVER on TTC and high-blood pressure. Gee, 7 months trying?? A little stressed out! Then talked about it saying on my chart "patient considering ttc" WHAT!! MY DH even said--there is no way you said that! Everyone and their mother knows you want a baby! LOL! She also said my cycles aren't long enough. Okay?? so now what?
So...she took a day 21 test and some other tests...if we don't get pg this month then we have to do a post-coital (sp). Then, if things look okay, she said she MIGHT investigate into Clomid.
I WAS SO FRUSTRATED! I CRIED! I don't know what I was expecting but even DH said she had crappy bed side manner.
ARGH! I have about 5 days to wait until I POAS...I think.
Thanks for all who gave me advice!

I'm sorry it went that way. I'll cross fingers and toes that you get your bfp in a few days and it won't matter. Good luck!

I'm so sorry it went that way, she sounds like she has a crappy bedside manner. Maybe you want to look into finding another Dr? Remember, you are hiring THEM, if you feel like shes doing a bad job, fire her!

I am so sorry that you had a bad visit. I would look into getting a new Dr. How many days after you Ovulate do you get AF? As long as your LP is long enough I don't think that it maters how long your cycle is. When you get your blood results back let us know what they are. I went threw this and and when I had my CD 21 check up my Prog was 7.9 so my DR said that I did not ovulate on my own they put me on Clomid and the next month on CD 21 my Prog was 32.4 that was the month that I got pregnant good luck.

I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant visit to the dr. It sucks that she was such a hag BUT hopefully you'll be able to figure some things out nonetheless!

My dr. isn't that great either, but here in Saskatchewan there are so few GPs that most of the them are full and won't take on new patients (especially the good drs.). I've had my GP since I was a child so I trust him and all but he is so unenthused about me ttc and it drives me bonkers. BUT, since I joined JM I've kept a notepad beside the computer and I jot down questions and tests I want done! I have an app't on the 31st and I"m going to get some answers!

Who gave her her license?! She sounds absolutely terrible...maybe she was having a bad day, but that's absolutely no excuse to have treated you the way she did. I have had bad luck with docs and their bedside manners and finally settled on having a doc who had a good nurse. I don't think that you should have to settle when it comes to your health!!! Do you have other options for a doctor in your area? Even within the same practice? It's your health, your life, your future baby--you have every right to have the very best RIGHT NOW.

I'm so sorry that she was less than pleasant (an understatement intended to keep that blood pressure of yours down ). Call her on it, then switch doctors. You don't need a lecture--you need answers.
