I have been trying to figure out why it is that before I started charting regularly I used to get literally handfuls of ewcm falling out. (I know--gross) This was before I knew what it was and just thought it was icky. Now I'm lucky to see any. The only change I can think of is that from Jan. to April of last year I was training for a 10K so I was exercising daily. After the race I slowly and steadily dropped my level of running until I was just going a couple of times a week and not very far or long. I didn't start charting until June so it makes sense to me that if it does affect the quality, that's why it's been getting more and more scant and none of my charts have good ewcm. I am now training for this year's race so I am looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference as I increase my exercise level. Has anybody read or heard of this before? All I can find in searching online is that it is good for you to exercise when ttc--nothing about a connection to ewcm.

Since exercising will improve overall health, yes it can certainly have a (positive) bearing on it. NOt to mention, when we exercise (especially training like that) we tend to take in more fluids - another thing that improves the quality and quantity of CF!

Yep, yep, yep! I don't think that you have to train for a 10K again (good for you!!!!), but maybe a little more exercise will do it! I'm sure that increased water intake doing all of that doesn't hurt, either!

I know that this will sound weird, but keep us updated...I'm curious.

Im scared to exercise during my 2ww because I am afraid there is a little spermie waiting to catch that egg and when I strain or something it will push it out..........Is that possible????

From what I have heard that's not possible--pushing the needed sperm out with exercise. The stuff that comes out are the ones that wouldn't make a baby anyway. And exercise does help with fertility for other health reasons-plus makes labor easier. I will keep you all updated on what happens with the cm. I plan to ask the doctor at our appointment on Tuesday too.
