Sorry girls, I know I have asked a lot about progesterone, and I swear I will understand one day...

Two different women have commented on 2 different threads (about 6 months apart), that my post-O temps seem low. Because I have had my progesterone checked, and the levels came back good, I just always assumed that it was because my chart is in celcius and you guys are used to looking in fahrenheit. (I do have a much better looking chart in fahrenheit)

Well today I was comparing charts with a friend of mine who also temps in celcius, and her lowest post-O temp is the exact same as my highest post-O temp! So are my temps bad? Her coverlines are considerably higher than mine historically too.

Also, I was checking and found an article that said that the progesterone test run at 7dpo is just to check if you're ovulating. They would also know from that whether I have enough progesterone to sustain a pregnancy right?

Of course, I have to convert your chart to Fahrenheit, but THEN...I think it looks FINE!!! My post-O temps weren't really all that high and my coverlines are often the same as yours, maybe a teeny bit higher or lower. We all have different temps, anyway, and the important part is comparing pre and post, and you DEFINITELY have a good jump there. I've noticed that some women get up into the 99F range post-O and I didn't even always make it (for long) into the 98F range.

The 7 DPO test should check for progesterone levels, too...I would call your doc to make sure, but unless mine did it separately (and I don't remember, sorry), I also had a progesterone level when the nurse called to say that yes, I was ovulating. Oh, CRAP! I forgot that you have to be subversive with your doctor. Well, call her to say that you're having some pretty weird signs (of course, they will all be low progesterone-related) and see if she'll tell you anything about your previous test. I don't see this as going against anything she said...because low progesterone can cause some pretty crappy feelings for a long period of time. I know, no one wants to lie, but you'd get your answers and she couldn't really be angry with you.

Really, though, I think that your chart looks good!!! It doesn't always mean much, though, I guess. Sorry...this probably wasn't of much help...just another rambling.

Well I looked through the chart gallery at charts in celcius and I saw a lot of charts with temps in your range - I even saw a pregnancy chart whose temperatures didn't get higher than 36.5, except for the day she got her BFP when it jumped up to 36.6. So I would say you are fine. Everyone is different, so everyone's temp ranges are going to be different - the critical thing in charting is looking for the shift - which you clearly have.

I went in for the CD 21 Visit ( 7DPO) and my progesterone was only 7.9 but if you looked at my charts it looked like I had o'ed. The Dr put me on Clomid and that cycle when I had the CD 21 Check up it was 34.9. So if you are worried that you are not ovulating go get checked so that you don't worry about it but you chart does look good and I think that you are.

Thanks you guys, your responses are very helpful. My progesterone came in well over the minimum number for ovulating, and I'm pretty sure that I am - my concern is whether or not my progesterone is high enough to sustain a pregnancy if I were to get pregnant.

Donna, it's good to know that there are other celcius charts in my range - I looked at the low progesterone charts on TCOYF and converted them to celcius and some of them had similar ranges to mine, which is what made me concerned. So it's very good to know that you found a lot of charts within my range - it makes me feel a little more normal

My coverline has always been consistent - almost bang on the same temp every month. I don't know if that means anything or not, but I'm hoping it's a good thing.

Thanks again you guys, it's hard not to second guess every little thing!

I chart my temps in celsius so it's easy for me to compare. Personally, my temps are higher (over 36.6 after O) but a good friend of mine has temps like yours. I don't think it's anything to worry about and I am not even sure if it has anything to do with progesterone levels but maybe rather your body's response to the progesterone, your normal pre-O temp (mine are pretty high 36.5 sometimes and typically 36.4), the time of morning when you temp. and the room temperature.

Thanks for looking at my chart! I hope you're right and it's nothing to worry about. I never really thought of it that way either - I always unconsciously assumed a direct correlation between my temps and my progesterone level. But, seeing as how I've been tested and my progesterone levels were good, maybe things are ok. I hope so.

Thanks again you guys, you've all been very helpful.
