We just counted down, had a toast, kissed my hubby (and 3yo niece for good luck) and went on with the game we were playing!

DH and I just got home from a friend's house. We watched the cell phone clock roll over and went to sleep!

We both fell asleep on the sofa watching The Dark Knight about 10:30 then woke up at 3:45am. Finally made it be bed and fell straight asleep again.

We were actually out getting a late desert/dinner! We worked until 11:30 at a friends bowling alley so we didnt really get to do any of that fun stuff! haha But we made some money!

Watched the ball drop, kissed DH, and had a glass of champagne.

We watched the ball drop, had our New Year's kiss , then were sound asleep by 12:30am.

We celebrated with AJ before putting him to bed (he got some apple juice with sprite) and we all toasted (AJ got a kick outta that). AJ finally said Happy New Year (we had been trying to get him to say it all day). From the time he went to bed till just after midnight - I was cringing every time one of the neighbors shot off their illegal fireworks and the dog barked.

Then when Midnight actually hit, Tony and I kissed and toasted (with sprite - I can't have alcohol) and went on with our evening (no BDing). Went to bed at our usual time of 2-3am.

DH was able to get the night off of work, so he and I went to some friends for a late dinner and to hang out. I wasn't really looking forward to it since it was his re-enacting friends who are a tad "different" but it ended up being a really good time. We turned the TV on for the countdown, toasted with Champagne (yes I had a full glass... I've stayed away from it for so long and it's my favorite), and DH and I had a nice kiss. Then we were so tired and the weather wasn't too nice so we headed to my in-laws house to stay the night since it was closer, and I stayed up until 3:30am watching Elf on TV while DH snored away. So much for new Year BDing like we had planned!
