My temp dropped way down today and I have that RE appointment on Tuesday. I am worried he won't be able to do an exam if AF is here and it took 2 months to get in to see him. So what do I do if she is here--do I keep the appointment and hope he can help me w/o a gyno exam? What about if I am just spotting-can he still do one then? I really don't want to have to reschedule! Anybody able to guess whether he will still see me if AF is here?

im not sure hon..hmm..honestly you just taught me something new..that if my temp drops af is coming?! is that right?..so basically if my temps stay up after ovulation there is a chance im pregnant? sorry for the questions.

good luck..id wait and see how heavy the flow is on tuesday and then call the dr.s office in the morning and let them know..they should be able to tell you if you should still come in or not. sorry about this..i know how it is to wait for an appointment and then something come up!

I had the same problem lol. I got my period the morning I had to go to my first appointment with my RE. He did the exam that included a vaginal sonigram and a gyno exam also. So I would keep the appointment for sure. And if they do a vaginal sonigram and they tell you it's not going to hurt, don't beleive them lol. But overall it's more embarassing than anything else. Hope this helps.

That does help-thanks Candy. How does a vaginal sonogram work?

And Daniella-Usually your temp drops with AF-18 days of high temps is a good indication you are pregnant.

The sonogram has a wand like handle that they put the goop on then a condom and more goop and then they put it in vaginal like doing a gyno exam and move it around so they can look at your ovaries and uterus. Being on my period is what made it hurt because my uterus was crampy and tender. That is how they found my fibroid tumors with the sonogram.
