hey guys im carmen im 21 and have crohns disease so its making conception difficult. my partner and i have been trying hard to get pregnant for 8 months now and im starting to give up hope. so im here to get some advice and support from people who know what im going through. its so hard they told me at the doctors that if i dont get pregnant now while im in remission my chances will drop dramatically  its all so depressing!!

I don't know much about Crohns but i know that anything that keeps you from getting a bfp must be frustrating. the women here are great and very knowledgeable. just jump in and post and get to know everyone!!!

Hi & welcome! You've joined a wonderful group of ladies- lots of support here! I'm Jackie (27), DH is Jon (28) and we've been TTC our first now for 14 months. Currently in the middle of some testing to see what the problem might be (other than me not ovulating most of the time on my own). I wish you the best of luck!

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.
IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.
March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

Welcome! My good friend has Crohn's as well.
I'm April (22) married to Jeff (23), we're on Month 15 of TTC our first. We're just kinda hanging out right now (DH is down in FL for the Navy) while we wait to do IVF in the Spring.

 Welcome!!! I'm Cris married to Shawn and we've been trying since August 2007.
One of my best friends has Crohn's and it definitely isn't fun. You have found a great support system here! The ladies are great and very helpful! I'm sure you'll love it here!! Good luck to you!

I'm sorry to hear of your illness. My BIL has IBS and I see what he goes thru and I know Crohn's is worse than that. But, that's great you're in remission. I just wanted to say not to get too down yet. I'm completely healthy, with regular cycles, and I do ovulate and it's STILL been 8 months of trying after our MC almost a year ago. It may take you longer than a normal healthy person, but don't give up!
