I have an interview tomorrow for a new job!!! It's with a Dental Office and it seems like a really nice place. The only bad thing is there's a 30 minute commute- especially with snowy/bad weather, but hey- with this economy, I'll take it if they offer!!!
I sent them my resume in the end of December, did the call to make sure they received it alright, and since I hadn't heard back I figured they chose to go with someone else. Was I surprised when I got a call this morning! She goes- "I know it's been a while since you sent your resume, but we've been very busy here and I've only just now had the time to look at it."
DH and I decided that we really want to bulk up our savings for when we get pregnant and have a baby, so that means doing it now!! So, if you could send me some good luck vibes or something, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!!
*UPDATE*
I just got home a short while ago. (DH and I met up with a friend and had breakfast with him after the interview). DH was great and offered to go with me and hang out in town while I was interviewing. He said that he figured that my knowing he was close by would maybe help me be a bit less nervous.
The interview went really well! It's a beautiful office in this big building. They even have a doorman in the lobby that wears a uniform and hat! I got there about 10 minutes early and was greeted by the receptionist who knew my name (I was impressed- though I was dressed nicely and didn't look like I was experiencing tooth pain, so I guess that was the tip off). I was brought back to their conference room. I sat down with the office manager who was very friendly. She asked me some really good/tough questions and I think I handled them pretty well. I couldn't think of 5 words to describe myself really quickly. "Dorky" was the one that kept coming to mind! Anyhow, she said that she saw a lot of good qualities that would fit right in with the rest of the staff. She described the position (Dental Assistant) and what it entailed and it seemed really interesting. It's a husband/wife team of dentists who specialize in Root Canals (endodontics).
She said that they offer great health benefits (in her opinion) and for the probationary period, I'd have to pay if I opted in on it, but after a certain amount of time, the Dr's actually pick it up and pay for the whole she-bang! DH has great insurance, but if we need some more coverage for fertility related things and the new company offers it, I'll definitely sign up!
Ok, I really need to learn to control my rambling! LOL... Sorry! All in all, I felt it went really good. I was myself and once I got in there, something in me kind of took over and the nerves flew out the window! (Yay) So, she's going to show the info to the Dr's and they call me next week.
Thank you all so much for all the good luck wishes! I totally think they helped!!!

Thanks girls!!! I appreciate it!
Ack! The more I think about it, the more I get nervous. I guess I'll just have to be myself, right? That's all I can do!

Thanks!
I took a drive to the place today so I'm familiar with where it is for tomorrow. We pass by it on our way to my in-laws (and we have dinner there tonight), so I feel better about knowing where it is, but I'm still nervous about the actual interview! LOL

Aww, thank you guys! I appreciate it!
Talk about nerves, My in-laws were making fun of me at dinner tonight cause they could see how on edge I was. They'd ask me a question and I'd completely miss it cause in my head I was imagining the interview tomorrow! I'm such a dork!
The interview is at 9:30 tomorrow, so I'll be sure to update you all when I get home!

Oh wow, Cris, sorry I missed all of this! I was so tired last night I just hopped on to let you all know I was alive; I didn't have time to read any posts. Otherwise I would have sent you lots and lots of good luck vibes!! I'm so glad the interview went well. Your DH is so sweet to have gone with you! It sounds like they really liked you and you have a great shot of getting this job! I agree, can't hurt to save some money in this economy especially - you are such a responsible mommy-to-be
Let us know how it goes!!
