Well, I am guessing you have PCOS....I have PCOS and I am on Met and Clomid (cd 5-9). I think you should start back up on the metformin. Also, I would switch from the OAD Women's Vitamin to a prenatal (you can get a decent one OTC-I got mine from Sams Club). As for the tests - go to the doctor and tell them you want to find out what is going on and get the answers. You may have to get your OB to refer you to a RE.
I went in to my OB in August, tried 2 cycles of just clomid, then I had a ultrasound and was diagnosed with PCOS and started the metformin in November. I am on my second month of metformin and clomid together and if we don't get a BFP after this cycle I am due to go back in to the OB at the end of this month.
I know what it is like to be trying for your second for so long. Have you checked out Secondary Infertility (board here on JM)? Good Luck - this is month 12 for us - I hope it doesn't take you as long as it has me.[/b]

Yea I do have PCOS - I was diagnosed with it at 19 years old - was taking metformin for a long time then I lost 70 pounds at 21 years old, upped my dose of metformin to 1500 mg a day (3x a day) and I got pregnant with my first child. Now I don't have that motivation to lose the weight again and money was an issue for me so I couldn't get metformin, now with time passed for refills, I have to get a new prescription which I hope will happen when I see my Ob-Gyn. I was on prenatal vitamins, lol - I think for me it's psychological - prenatal vitamins gave me so much hope that it was dashed each month so I figured switch to a different "normal" vitamins - I'd still get what I need for my body while TTC.
I wish you the very best of luck with your TTC journey! It totally sucks having PCOS becuz it hinders a lot of our abilities to get pregnant - I wasn't sure if I should try out secondary infertility and if it applied to me (maybe I'm in denial) but I am seriously considering checking it out now! Thanks!
