I go through phases, where I don't check this board because I hope that this is the month for me, and then AF comes and I'm right back here again. Anyway, AF is on her way (light spotting and temp drop this morning), and it's onto C10 for us. I am 34 (35 end of Feb.), DH is 43 (going on 44). We have been actively trying for 9 months, charting bbt for 3. We have an appt. with an OB/GyN this Friday to get checked out for the first time.

Anyway, my question is this. I am wondering if it's a progesterone problem, because I get normal charts that look like I am o'ing (temp rises and such), but then I usually start spotting 9-10 dpo, and then lightly spot every day until I get the full-blown AF on 12-13 dpo. So basically I spot for 3-4 days before AF comes. Has anyone else had experience with this?

I'm hoping that the dr. will find the problem, prescribe progesterone, and then I'll get pg in the next month or two. I'm already way too depressed about this whole ttc stuff, I can't imagine waiting another year or two at my age.

Thanks for any advice/info you can share.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about AF. I know what you mean--laying low so that you don't read too much into anything.

As for the spotting, I spotted for several days, too, before AF. I assumed I had low progesterone, and sometimes I did, but it got better without help over the last year or so and I still had spotting. I have no idea why. I think that some of us just spot more. BUT it could also be something a little more sinister, like an infection or anovulation. Most of the things that cause spotting are pretty easy to fix--like you said, a couple of tests later, you may go on progesterone and everything is fine for the next cycle.

Whatever the cause, I hope that it's perfectly normal, or at least an easy fix. I know how frustrating it is to wait month after month and wonder if everything is even working properly. PLEASE let us know what your doc says!!! I'll keep everything crossed for you...

Are you going in to the Dr for a CD 21 check up? That is when they check your progesterone. I had a problem with mine but I did not spot but I am sure that everyone is diffrent please keep us updated as to what goes on. Good Luck

What part of Mo are you in I have Family in the West Plains area so I go there often.

I live in SW Missouri, in Springfield, which is probably 1.5 to 2 hours away from West Plains. Where are you from?

I am going for my first fertility check-up tomorrow, which will be CD 2 for me. I am hoping she takes a baseline check and then wants me back at CD 21. If not, I may have to go see a RE to get things moving along. I can't wait another C to find out, or at least I don't want to.

GL to you, have you gotten a BFP yet?

Carrie

Carrie

I am from Nashville But my Dad grew up in Koshkanog so I have family there so I visit often. I went to Springfield once and went to an old farm out there that was really cool. I also went to Laura Wilders house I know that was not to far from there.

I hope that they do that check on you also it done me a world of good I really though that I was ovulating but I was not My Dr put me on Clomid and I got my BFP the first month. I am not in my 15th week of my pregnancy but I love hosting this room so much I could not leave you all I had to stay here and cheer for your BFP's I hope that you get some answers.

Well congrats! Lots of sticky vibes to you! Thank you for sticking around for the rest of us, that's really nice of you. So when you thought you were o'ing, did you get temp rises? Were your Af's regular? Did you get positive OPK's? I have so many questions. LOL At least I get to see the doc today.

I know where Koshkanong is, I had a client who lived there. Springfield's a pretty nice town, big enough that we have stuff to do, small enough that you can live in the country and still commute to work.

I've been to Nashville, but it was a long time ago, when I was a kid. Went to the Grand Ole' Opry (woohoo!).
