What do you think the scariest part of adding a baby to your life will be? (Whether it's adding another child to your family, or having your first baby) We see a lot of "what are you looking forward to", but not a lot of "what are you fearing"...

Also- BTDT Moms... let us "first timers" know what made you most nervous when you had your first... (Can you tell I'm having a nervous moment and want to try to prepare myself?!?!? LOL)

(edited for spelling)

This isn't necessarily scary...but something I'm "not" looking forward to is giving up my weekends of laying around and doing nothing! Sleeping in, having coffee with DH and watching HGTV. I'm sure that will change. But obviously be totally worth it!

I agree with you Christine... Spending quiet time with DH is high on my list. I'm definitely not looking forward to being able to just get up and go whenever I want and also I'm sure I'll miss sleeping in (not that I do it too often, but to have the option is always nice!)

I agree with you girls... that's the only thing I'm "scared" will change in our lives, and hopefully it'll be better though. An example. Last night we went out to dinner with FIL, then came home, showered, and had our relax time. When I came downstairs, Jon had a nice fire built in the fireplace, and was curled up on the couch and I joined him to watch some tv. It was heaven. He even said "this is the life", to which I abruptly replied "enjoy it while you can, because we're going to be pregnant this cycle!" Oh what I wouldn't give, though, to have a baby crying or gagaing or crawling around... Sigh..

I am not really "fearing" much of anything. I worry how AJ will react to a baby, even though he loves babies - none of them need his mommy 24-7. I worry a little about the night feedings (I fell asleep with AJ nursing when he was a new born and he rolled off the boppy - then another time either the same night or soon after I was co-sleeping with him cause he was cluster nursing a little and he ended up rolling off the bed - luckily I had folded bath towels or something and they hadn't made their way to the bathroom yet and they were on the floor by the bed and that is what he fell on). Other than that, just the day to day stuff (groceries, dinner, dishes, housework, laundry, etc) with two kids.

Oh, and in the beginning it will be quiet, but when it does get loud - you won't remember what it was like when it was quiet. And as they get older - most of the time, quiet means they are getting into something they shouldn't. Our life is a lot more fulfilling now than it was before AJ (and Sienna)

My biggest fear is passing my crohns on to my baby i know there is only a slight chance but that would be horrible my second biggest fear is how grumpy DP will get after not much sleep.LOL he loves his sleep im not sure how he will adjust to getting woken up other than that i dont have any fears just excitement!!

I think the loss of spontaneity and freedom will be my biggest hurdle - not being able to get up and go whenever I want.
