I just wanted to update you girls on some of the things that have been going on for me!
First off, I received a letter the other day saying that I did not get the job that I interviewed for last week. Apparently they gave it to a guy who is in dental school. Am I sad? Yes, but I also like to look on the positive side of things and here's what I came up with... The job was a 9 hour day plus a 30 minute drive there and 30 minuted drive back. I did an hour long commute to college for 3 years and I think I'm done with that! It wasn't my dream job or anything either. In fact, after the interview, I was talking with my Mom and it just hit me that the thing I really want to do with my life is work with children. She suggested that I go back to school and work towards an Early Childhood Education Degree. I really think she's on to something! So I'll be looking into that!
I'm going to still look around for a job because I really want to bulk up our savings for when we have a baby (those little buggers are expensive even with my MIL's promise to buy us all the diapers ) and I enjoy working... plus it'll allow us the extra income for me to maybe go back to school! I do want to thank you all so much for all the well wishes and positive thoughts! If you don't mind, keep them coming that I'll be able to find something esle!!! (Of course I'll keep you updated)
Next, I figured I'd give you guys an update on how my DH's 200% TTC plan was going. He's been amazing... I honestly have seen such a change in him! He's been drinking all his water, taking all his vitamins, leaving the seat warmers off in the car (even through this bitter cold weather we have), he's been right on top of BDing every other day even though he's been tired at times. He asked me when my "fertile" window was for the next 4 months and then emailed me a copy of his date book. He'd moved all his meetings and stuff that occurred around O time and wrote in "Harvest Time" He even told the guy he coaches with the he has strict plans on certain days, and that he'd be MIA. Hopefully he'll be able to make all the things he has to though and will just be dragging his pregnant wife behind him!
He's back to the guy that he was 19 months ago... very eager and ready to make this happen! I think that TTC can take it's toll on our guys just as much as it can on us! I honestly think that after this cycle, he'll really feel that we've given it our all and he'll be ready to make that next step (which we hopefully won't need). Yay!!!

Well, I'm sorry you didn't get the job, but I'm glad to hear everything else is going well! I'm glad DH is sticking to his word too and doing everything (and more) than he promised! yay.

That's great news about DH, Cris!! I'm so happy for you. I hope that this will be all you need to catch that eggie. I'll be keeping an eye on your chart!
I would say "that's too bad" about the job, but it sounds like you're right and that maybe it was best for it to go to someone else. If your heart wasn't really in it those hours and that drive would be that much worse every day. KUP with school. From someone who knows - it's so much easier when you're going as an adult for something you really want to do.

Cris~thanks for the update. I think you made a very good and educated decision about what you want to do as far as a job goes. Good for you. And I'm so happy to hear about DH...it's just too cute how involved he is now. I'm sure its a load off of your shoulders now. I'm happy and will be patiently awaiting your BFP!!!!!!!!!!!11

Thanks for checking in Hollie! I can definitely understand about going to school as an adult and being more focused! Don't get me wrong, I was an honor student all through school, but once I got to college, it became boring and I wasn't sure what I was studying was what I wanted to do! I'll definitely keep you posted on what's up with that!

Hi Gwen! It really just makes me smile when I think about how devoted DH has become this past cycle! Hopefully this is all we'll need and all the drama about getting in to see a Dr will be for nothing!

I'm sorry about the job, hun... hopefully it was for the best though, and you are so positive about it so that's GREAT! I'm also so so happy to hear your DH is giving his all this cycle, like he promised. Maybe since both of your minds are 100% on TTC it will happen for you!! We need a BFP!!!

I hope the 200% gets you your BFP. How in the world do you get your DH to take his vitamins everyday. It is like pulling teeth with DH.
Sorry so short - AJ just woke from his nap and is crying.

Wow, I am glad DH is really putting in the 200%!! Hopefully it will do the trick this cycle and you'll get your BFP!! If nothing else I'm sure this will strengthen your relationship and make the next step much easier if you do need to seek assistance - which I'm hoping you won't!
Everything happens for a reason - I'm sure not getting that job was a blessing in disguise. Now you can go after what you REALLY want to do!!
I'll keep the good luck dust coming!!

I've never thought of it that way... 2 good things for every 1 bad... I'll take that! Hopefully one of those good things will be my BFP finally!

Ha! Trust me- it's no easy task to get him to take them, but I think he knows that if he doesn't take them THIS cycle, we'd already be at the Dr! LOL. He's terrible about it and he hates to take any type of pill cause he has a bad gag reflex. I did think of mashing them up and putting them in his food or something at one point a few months ago!
