Hi all!

I have been TTC for 7 months with a lot of irregular cycles since going off the pill. Last cycle was my first time using BBTs and I saw a dip and then a rise for 13 days followed by a drastic drop the day before AF.

What I am wondering is, does this mean I am in fact ovulating, since I noticed the dip and the rise? Also my cyle was 39 days long which is the shortest it's been since going off the pill. This still seems like a really long cycle. Any one else have experience like this or advise. I'm getting frustrated!

Welcome, alexa!!! It's hard to know, exactly, without seeing your chart. You CAN have an ovulatory-looking chart without having ovulated, too, but that's not so common. Most likely, you ARE! The dip before O is pretty common, and a good indicator for you that you're going to O, so congrats on getting a signal! The LP sounds fine, too. As for the 39-day cycle, that's probably nothing to worry about. How long have you been off the pill? It can take a VERY long time after coming off to get your cycles back down to what they were pre-pill, or to any regular length.

I hope that that's clear...*I* know what I meant. Hehe. In other words, I don't think that you really have to worry. It's GREAT that you're charting, though. I found that it gives me a better idea of what's going on inside of me and how my cycles are operating. Plus, it's fun to see it all laid out on a chart.

I hope that this month of charting goes even better! If you have a chance, post a link to your chart in your signature so we can chart stalk you.

Thanks for the support and advise.

I have been off the pill since July (7 months) and had about 5 cycles. You are so right about charting. I wish I started it sooner. It really helps give me some peace about knowing what is going on since my cycles have been so irregular since going off the pill. Last month was the first month and and am going to keep working on it until we get that BFP. Hopefully soon.

Good luck to you and thanks again.
