Please forgive me if this seems like a dumb question but This morning when I went in for a shower, I noticed that I had some of what I thought was EWCM... which is strange for me to have it this late. Now I know that cycles can go crazy and I could be Oing late, but I started to wonder if this was any of DH's "leftovers" from our afternoon BDing yesterday. I generally don't have the issue of where I can't tell the difference. The past 2 days I've had watery CM and it's strange that it would go back to EWCM for me. I'm not sure what to think. DH did say that he "had a really good one" yesterday, so maybe that's it.
What should I mark down as my CM? I'll check it again later to see if it's the same, but in the meantime, I wonder what would you guys/ have you guys done if this has happened to you?

Well I would say that it is possible that it could be his "leftovers". Are you 100% positive that you had EWCM before? Could that have been "leftovers"? If you are positive that you had EWCM before than I would think it must be from your DH and not EWCM, but I could be wrong! lol I have never had EWCM twice in a cycle. And beings you had watery CM yesterday and the day before than I would be skeptical its EWCM. Could be though too...everyone is different and like you said some cycles can go completely WACKO!!! Get to BDing just in case!!
Sorry I wasnt much help!

seems unlikely to me that it would be DH's leftovers if it was from yesterday afternoon. If it was from this morning or even last night and you didn't get up after, i would say possibly DH's LOs, but with it being yesterday afternoon, i would have thought it would have "left you" yesterday.
I have gotten EWCM after Oing before. if you're temping, then see what your temps confirm and by gosh by golly girl, keep BDing!!!!!

Not to sound weird, but does it stretch a lot? Leftovers break much more than EWCM, so that's why I ask. Keep BD'ing! Maybe we'll be cycle buddies after all!!

You can warm up to ovulate and you may think you have but not actually ovulated. Does that make sense. You can warm up multiple times and never ovulate. Did you use OPK's?
It is a good chance it is DH's leftovers though, especially if you took your shower earlier in the day and that was when you noticed it. With BOM, you don't check the CM, you use sensations and any "wet" sensation is potentially fertile (even if it is SF).
Shawna on the NFP/FAM board (under Women Health) used to be a nurse and is a BOM instructor and she is great at answering questions too if you are still unsure.

I'd definitely keep BD'ing. Your chart doesn't really show a sustained temp rise. It could be EWCM. Good luck!

nice to know my DH isn't the only one who talks about how "good" or not it was!! haha
I would say its probably leftovers from him. In my experience that can be the case anyway! Might as well cover your bases though!!

Ditto. Yesterday afternoon was a long time ago. Especially if you peed at all between then and when you showered... Definitely keep BDing!!

Yeah, I definitely had the EWCM before this craziness! Maybe my body is just gone wacko! It hasn't done that in a while, so I guess I'm due!

I was thinking along the same lines as you- it seems like a long time to pass for it to be DH's leftovers but I wasn't completely sure on what to do. I guess we'll just see what the temp Gods have to say over the next few days!

That's not a weird question Jackie! It actually stretched quite a ways before it stretched, more so than it normally does. I tell ya, we're both having crazy cycles! I would love to be a Cycle buddy with ya! And then a BFP buddy too! We're totally due!!!

That's makes perfect sense Christina... I've actually had that "warming up to O" but not quite getting there before. It was stress related before. I'll have to check out the board you suggested if I have any other issues! I generally do use OPKs, but I ran out this last cycle and forgot to order more. Of course the cycle I don't use them is the one that goes a little wacky!

Thanks Kim! We're definitely keeping up with the BDing! I told DH that I thought I had fertile "stuff" (The word mucus freaks him out), he kinda got excited! Hopefully I'll see a nice temp rise over the next few days and I'll get my CH's! This is the latest I'll have ever O'd in our 19 months ttc!

Yeah, I peed a LOT between the BDing and the shower... I drink a TON of water everyday. We made sure to BD today for sure!
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and suggestions. We definitely BDed today just in case. DH actually suggested that we consider it to be fertile CM cause knowing our luck, if we didn't, we'd miss out on good BD timing! I was pretty impressed by his logical thinking! LOL

When in doubt... say its EWCM and BD just incase.
There are 2 ways you are suppose to be able to tell the difference...
if you rub it between your fingers and pull it apart if it still stays stretchy and together its ewcm, if it gets tacky and kinda seems to absorb its left overs.
Same as if you put it water, if its ewcm it will glop together and sink, if its not it will dissolve.

We decided to call it EWCM (even if it wasn't) and made sure to BD. Thanks for the tips about telling the difference! I'll have to keep those in mind if that happens again (which it hopefully won't cause I'm planning on getting my BFP this cycle LOL)
