I have always dreamed about the fun ways to announce a pregnancy. My mom and sister had a faux-squabble when I told them we were going to start trying about which one of them I would tell first. My sister finally won their debate and they told me to tell her first- yes, my family is looney. So I was watching "Juno" last night, a movie my sister loves to bits, and it was the first scene of her taking the pregnancy test in the store. The guy (Dwight from "The Office") tells her "your Eggo is prego."

So, when I finally am for sure pregnant, I decided I would mail her (we live five hours away) an empty box of Eggo waffles and an empty bottle of Prego spaghetti sauce, because my sister is a drama major and that I would do such a silly thing to announce it would tickle her to no end.

What are your special plans on how to announce that you are pregnant? I would love to hear them!

LOL thats cute.

We likely will not announce cuz well people are just rude about us having MORE kids, and I don't need more negative remarks.

oh i have no idea. i've been thinking about that, but i don't think we'll tell anyone for awhile. i love your idea though!!!

I think I am going to make AJ a Big Brother Tshirt and see how long it takes them. I liked this one at Wal-mart - it said Only Child and that was crossed out and just below it, it said Big Brother. I would have bought it if they had it in his size, so I am going to make it myself (or make it on CafePress).

DH will be with me when I test, so we can find out together, but as far as telling everyone else, we figured we'd probably get each of the Grandparents a little gift that's baby sized... Like my Mom is a huge purse fanatic, so we'll get her a little girl's purse, My Dad is big into the Jets, so probably a little Jets outfit, my FIL is big into model trains, so we figured a Thomas the Tank Engine train for him and for my MIL who's big with hockey and works with a hockey team, she'll get a mini sized hockey jersey... We'd like to tell them all together and also we'd like to video tape their reactions (secretly of course)... it'll be a priceless moment for sure!

We'll probably wait until we're well past 14 weeks to tell anybody. Since our family isn't here, I thought about mailing both our parents a CD with the u/s on it at the same time to see who catches on first!
