I have a baby shower invite

Staring me in the face every time I go to the kitchen.

It is for a good friend of mine who has had trouble conceiving in the past and got pregnant the first month she started trying (my 4th month). It was hard to deal with when I found out she got pregnant so easily but worse when another friend announced she got pregnant so quickly just a few months back - but I regress.

Anyways, the baby shower is February 7th. That is all and good and I would go with no problem. She is a really good friend and asks how its going and everything but not nosily. KWIM? Anyways, I will most likely be ovulating that weekend. And the plan was to ask my IL's to watch AJ overnight the 6th (if you read my update from my doctors appt on Tuesday post you know what DH wants to do that night/morning).

I just don't know. I guess I am asking what you would do? Should I just drop a gift off and say I am ovulating that weekend and will be without the kiddo and need all the privacy we can get or enjoy our evening/morning and go to the 11am brunch/shower anyways.

Only you know what's best for you. I'd personally probably still go to the shower, because I'd feel guilty not going! That's totally a personal decision though..

I'd probably still go to the shower, but I'd also try to work it out so that I had some extra time either before or after with my hubby if that's possible... It's really your call on what you want to do though!
