I just cannot believe this!

If I am understanding this right... she is a single NON WORKING mother, obsessed with having babies. Did IVF the first time, and now this time using same sperm donor.... has hired an agent in hopes of getting into entertainment!

SOMEONE TAKE THE CHILDREN AWAY!

GEEZ!

Side question... I thought with IVF they only put in like 3 or 4?? This woman had to have them put in a LOT each time to get 6 and now 8 babies!

She didn't have 6 one time and 8 another. Her first 6 kids are from 5 separate pregnancies. It sounds like the media isn't 100% sure on the details of all this yet. From what I've read, she is single and living with her parents. At least her first 4 kids have the same father listed on their birth certificates. The New York Times mentioned this weekend that all 14 of the kids were from the same sperm donor...but with the accuracy of all the other info, I'm not sure if that's right. It also said she has a tubal disease, so all 14 are from IVF. I'm sure some of those were actual FET cycles and not all from IVF.

I suspect she may have had some of this done outside of the US. I could be wrong, but not many doctors will implant that many any more. The number they implant is partially determined on the quality of the fertilized eggs, maternal age and how many other unsuccessful IVF rounds have been attempted. My neighbors went through 10 years of infertility treatments. During their last round of IVF, the doc implanted all 6 of their fertilized eggs. I think they said 3 were ok quality and 3 were low. Their doctor didn't want to freeze any low quality eggs. She (the doctor) had a long discussion with them about selective reduction prior to implanting. This particular doctor considers a single or twin pregnancy sucessfull, a triplet pregnancy rocky and anything over that a non-success. Only 1 of their 6 eggs implanted. They never would have let her implant 6 really high quality eggs and since they'd been through multiple rounds of IVF, they knew their chances of success were low.

It's really hard for me to form an opinion over all of this since there is so much "new" information about it everyday. It's hard to keep things straight. I don't think we'll ever know the real truth about what happened. If it is true about her just wanting to make money off of the situation, that's unbelievable in my mind. Using your children in that way just makes me angry.

I have to agree with Cel... I doubt that any US Dr would implant that many... unless the Dr was corrupt or out for money or something. But then again, you never know...

As far as I know this last round was done in CA somewhere. I read that her doctor said they didn't think they would all take. Also I read she told someone she gets paid for it but I am thinking it is welfare. Also, she was supposedly going to college.

Personally I think it SICK to intentionally put back 8 embies with the knowing that all might take JUST to get money.

For those who think that this sick and selfish money grabbing woman should NOT be rewared for her disgusting behavier is simply boycot any shows/speacials/or mags who want to carry the story then the message will be loud and clear.

I know I will never buy or watch a thing to do with her after this..I am NOT going to be lineing her pockets with my cash here in Canada.
