I am having a laparoscopy in a couple weeks to rid all my cysts that are on my ovaries. The doctor thinks I might have endometrious and I am scared... this might be the reason I've not conceived. So, does anyone have or have had anything similar?

Thanks,
Kell

I had a lap, D&C and hysteroscopy (sp?) in late Nov. Two weeks later I got pregnant. I had other things that helped me i.e acupuncture, herbs etc., but I know I wouldn't be pregnant today without the lap. I did a ton of research before having the surgery and felt 100% confident with my surgeon. My recovery was not bad at all. I slept most of the day of the surgery and was very careful what I did for the week afterwards. Nine days after my surgery I was back in the pool swimming laps. I was doing them slowly, but I was still able to do them. The worse part of the lap was the air they pumped in my belly. I was forewarned that the air can be really uncomfortable after as they can't get it all out. It can make your neck and shoulders very sore. I didn't have that, but my pants didn't fit well for about a week after. I loved to wear elastic wasted pajama bottoms while at home.

I actually had that surgery back in November too. Its not too bad. I had endometriosis and we removed it. It is supposed to help you get pregnant faster if some is found and removed. We just started trying so I guess we will find out!! GOOD LUCk

I had a lap,dye and hysteroscopy in June 08 after ttc for 12 months, which revealed mild endometriosis and a bulky womb! recovery was not too bad, a couple of days at the most, with the worst pain being in my shoulders from the gas...
I conceived the next month which unfortunatly ended in a early loss however went on to conceive again 2 months later and I am now 25wks pregnant!
good luck!
