Hi everyone - just out of curiosity.

when i saw my doctor, she said that having trouble getting pregnant, and staying pregnant are 'relatively normal' these days, although she also said they certainly weren't normal a generation ago. One of the major hospitals in Canada is allocating a separate waiting room for miscarriages and pregnancy troubles so that women going through loss don't have to wait with the masses (because miscarriage is on the rise). Has anyone ever heard anything else about this, or wondered about it? I conceived my first son first shot (pardon the pun), but my second took over a year with 3 miscarriages, and this one - well, i'm still hoping. What I have noticed though - is that after my first 'easy' pregnancy, I NEVER regained my energy, my skin on my hands became incredibly dry (it sometimes hurts to turn off a light switch) and I developed severe mood swings related to ovulation and menstruation. Does anyone else share these symptoms??? It all feels like hormone disruption to me, although in Canada, the doctors that I have met with don't place much emphasis on estrogen or progesterone, but so many things I read say that the balance is critical to getting pregnant and staying pregnant.

Any ideas?????

Wow, I don't know what to tell you, but I definitely think a doctor needs to check it out (and take you seriously). It does sound hormonal to me also! I hope you get it straight soon.

Our hormones play a big part in our lives and the smallest inbalance can cause issues... I would definitely talk to your Dr!
