I just started temping last month, and so I'm not exactly too familiar with how temperatures work during your cycle. Will you always have higher temps after O-ing? Or are there exceptions to this rule? Please take a look at my chart. I definitely had Ovulation spotting with EWCM on CD 14 and 15, and am completely dry now, but my temps are still low. Any thoughts?

Yes your post O temps will always be higher (in general, there may be an individual temp higher/lower) than pre O because of progesterone in the second part of your cycle vs estrogen in the first part.

I can say pretty confidently you didn't O corresponding to the CM on CD14/15. However, if you're dry now, perhaps you'll get a spike tomorrow/the next day. Watery CM is fertile too, so you'd still have a good chance. I'd still keep BD ever other day until you get a shift though.

Every thought of using OPKs?

I haven't thought seriously about OPK's yet, though the past couple days I have been thinking about it a little more. Last month my temp spike was pretty obvious, so I figured I would be good without using OPK's. I guess I'll just give it a few more days to see what my temps/CM does. I had a second patch of fertile CM during my last cycle, so maybe I'm gearing up for that right now. I might think more about OPK's in a few months or so.

And thank you for your reply. That helps to clarify it for me. THanks!

I don't think you have O'd either. And since you are having wet fertile CM again that lends itself to it again.

I think the others are right and you haven't O'ed just yet. Maybe your body geared up to O and didn't for one reason or another? Just a thought. Definitely keep on BDing and hopefully you'll see that rise in temps really soon!

Thanks for the replies ladies. Yeah, I don't think I've O-ed yet either. I checked my cervix last night before bed and it felt pretty open. So I think either today or tomorrow is the day for me. We've still been BDing every other day. And DH surprised me this morning at 3:30 AM when he came to bed. Needless to say, I overslept this morning and I'm very tired now at work. I only got about 2 hours of sleep after BDing, and my temp went down quite a bit. I still recorded it, even though I didn't get the recommended 3 hours though. So I'll have to keep that in mind when I look at my chart now. Should I discard this mornings temp because of that?

I'm not sure about discarding your temp - can anyone else advise on this?

I hope you O soon!

I wouldn't discard it (yet anyway), but I'm very curious to see if you get a spike tomorrow! I hope it's coming soon for you.

I'd probably use the "sleep deprived" checkmark. I don't think it will discard it, but I do think it will give you an open circle! Here's some more high temp dust!!

THanks for the encouragement, ladies! And thank you for letting me know about the sleep deprived check-box. I had no idea that was there!

Baby dust to everyone this month! Operation BFP!!!
