DH and I are house sitting and Dog sitting for the family I used to Nanny for. It's a great deal... we get paid to play with an awesome dog, watch any of 3 big screen TVs, play any of 3 video game systems, use the hot tub (though we haven't), jacuzzi tub and they stocked the fridge with tons of great stuff...

We've been here a few days and after the first day here I noticed I was really really really itchy all over my body... I couldn't figure it out, so I tried my best to igore it. Today, I go to throw a small load of laundry in the washer and I realize just why I'm so itchy... The family uses Tide detergent. I'm allergic to something in Tide and it makes me really itchy and sometimes I break out into hives. So, I had been sleeping in a bed where the sheets were washed in Tide, the towels, blankets, even the dish towels- Everything! I just hope the hives stay away! LOL

I ran out and bought some Cris-friendly detergent and have been using that today. I hope that it helps! I have known this family for 8 years and they have never once used Tide- ever! So I figured I was safe, but boy was I wrong!

It certainly makes for some fun BDing! LOL... squeek squeek, itch, itch, itch... squeek, squeek, itch, itch, itch...

LOLOL...Cris about the BDing!! That really stinks. Have you tried putting some cortisone cream on it? Of course, that might get expensive if you put it over your eniter body.

LOL Cris - how romantic I hope it gets better! Take a cool oatmeal bath if it gets really bad.

Yeah, I've been that route before and it does get pricy! I was thinking of Benadryl, but I want to be awake for the weekend (even the non-drowsy knocks me out), so for now I've trimmed my fingernails down really short so I can't scratch too efficiently and have been washing everything I come into contact with with my detergent!

Oh, it's SOOO romantic! DH was even joining in on the scratching fun in the middle of BDing! LOL...What a guy! An oatmeal bath is a great idea! Thanks- if it continues I'll for sure be doing that!

Yeah, I thought so too! Apparently he wanted to make sure we were able to finish what we started!

I hate getting hives! They totally gross Jason out - there's no way he'd scratch them with me. You are one lucky gal!

Oh my gosh! That's so bad! I've heard of other people who have had that same problem with Tide. That is so funny about the BDing, though!! Hope those itchies go away soon!

LOL... I just kept reminding Shawn of his "200%" plan, so he had no other choice! We were able to BD last night with minimal itching Thankfully!

Really? I've never heard of anyone other than myself and my Dad who had that issue. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

We go home this afternoon, so I'll be free of Tide-land! LOL... Washing all the stuff helped, but I still had the irritations from before. It's getting better though thankfully!
