Getting Pregnant

I know I am still a newbie here ... but have learned so much "lurking" and
its nice to be able to share the news here right away ... even before my family.

I POAS this morning at 6am ... put the dogs out, feed the cats ... came back upstairs
casually went to check the stick ... rubbed my sleepy eyes a few times ... then went
and woke up DH ! I said "look" ... he said "it's a stick" ... I said "Yes ... READ THE STICK!"
He rolled over turned on the light and started giggling ... "Yea Momma !"

With my job I have to tell them right away ... I have to be assigned to a different division.
I work in a jail ... airborne crap, fights, etc ... no need to be around me !
The only drama is ... in case of a MC, EVERYONE will be in my business. I can't hide
it for 3 months then tell people ... so ... here's to a sticky bean !!!

I called my 91 year old Grandmother, who hasn't been feeling well, and gave her the news.
She giggled and laughed and was SOOOoooo excited!

My parents were on their way over today, I was going to help them do their taxes ... so we decided to
have some fun with them. My Dad's birthday was yesterday, we had a party last night ... so for fun
we wrapped up the "pregnant" Clear Blue Easy stick and handed it to my Dad when he walked in the door.
Told him we had one other birthday present ... he opened it ... wasn't sure ... my Mom grabbed it and started
crying! Here next comment ... "when can we go to Babys-R-Us?" !!

The next was to call my grandparents in Connecticut ... Grandpa has up and down days with alzhymers, Grandma has
diabetes and parkinson's ... so I asked Grandma how she'd feel about another Great Grandbaby .... she squeeled and hollered to Grandpa ... "we have good news !" She said he was having a good day and we just made it better!

The last phone call was to my brother and his family ... got them all on the speaker phone at one time and
asked what they thought of a "pumpkin baby?". At first the reply was "what?' Then my sister-in-law yelled ... "your baby?!"
They all were excited.

I know its early to share ... but ... my work schedule and duties will change and questions will be asked right away. I would rather have the support.
