So here's my question... those of you who wear glasses- do you keep them on when you're BDing or do you go without them?
A little story as to why I'm asking... I am blinder than blind without my contact lenses or glasses. I didn't realize I ran out of contact lenses and my right one ripped the other day. I've been stuck wearing my dorky glasses from 10 years ago (Why spend money on new glasses when I only wear them for 5 minutes a day, right?). My prescription expired so my eye doctor won't just give me a new contact and the earliest appointment they have is on Thursday.
I've been having trouble adjusting to wearing my glasses...no peripheral vision which I hate, the prescription on the glasses is kinda old so I can't see like I normally do (it's better than nothing), and my ears are crooked so my glasses never sit right on my face (same thing with sunglasses- DH thinks it's hilarious )
We're in the prime of BDing time right now... I should be Oing anyday and my poor DH has to look at me in my dorky glasses. I tried to take them off today while we were BDing, but I didn't like the fact that I couldn't see anything other than what was two inches right in front of me. I put them back on and they got all jostled around during the fun
I know I'm going to just suck it up over the next few days, but I was really curious to see what you guys did if you wear glasses.
See... I told you it was a dorky question!

I don't wear glasses, but I don't think dh would be able to get the job done if he was too busy laught at my crooked glasses! I would just take them off and have fun with it. Maybe blind fold dh so he can see how it feels!

I only have to wear mine part of the time (and hardly wear them when I am supposed to), but DH wears glasses and he takes his off to BD most of the time and he is blinder than blind too. Good Luck!

We both wear glasses (my prescription is not nearly as bad as DH's), and there are no glasses necessary in the bed.

I wear glasses at night and always have to take them off during BD. I don't like it when the get mushed against either my face or DH's nose and then they get a smudge on them. I'm totally anti-smudge and find it too distracting, so I just take them off.

Yeah, we tend to have a lot of "funny/laughing" BDing. Ha Ha!!! That's a great idea Annie... blindfolding him! I can imagine it would be a monumental disaster with both of us blind, but it's definitely something to try when I get my new contacts Thursday!

Thanks! I used to only wear my glasses part time (way before I got contacts) since I was in junior high school and hated to be the geek girl, and now I'm blind without them! You're so lucky that you can get away with not wearing your's!!!

I'm thinking of ditching the glasses today for BDing and see (or not see lol) how it goes!

Yeah, I did notice that when I did wear them, they got all smudgy which was even more distracting. The more I am reading from you ladies, the more I think I'm gonna take them off today for BDing...

I can't stop laughing at this thread, sorry Cris LOL I can't help picturing huge chunky framed dorky glasses (crooked too) and it's cracking me up
I only wear a very slight prescription for distance, so I've never had the problem.
Hope you get your new contacts soon though!

HA HA HA!!! You're too funny Christine! I go on Thursday afternoon to the eye Dr and I'll get a new set of contacts then. Thank goodness cause I have 2 hockey games to work this weekend and I really don't want to be totally Dorky! I'll have them give me a prescription for glasses too so whenever I have the time and some extra cash I can go pick out new glasses (our stupid insurance only covers either glasses or contacts once every 24 months) Actually the glasses aren't that bad- they are small black frames but I've had them so long and they're not in the best shape!!! I think the worst part is that my ears are crooked- so so annoying! Hopefully poor DH doesn't see this when he looks at me while we're BDing:

I think I would risk not being able to see over wearing glasses too. More of an adventure!! Besides, it's not like you have to see to know what to do!!

That's a good point about it being an adventure April! I'm glad I'm not the only blind person here!

Yeah, I was trying to find a pic like that with the tape, but I liked the goofy monkey That's probably what our kids will look like!

Yeah, that's the route I've decided to take... no more glasses while BDing!!!
Well, we did try it with no glasses tonight and it went well! Too bad we were interrupted by a phone call from my nephews... Then DH had to get ready for work so we couldn't finish. Grr... We'll try blind BDing again in the morning! It really was adventurous... except the one time when I poked DH cause I had no depth perception and he was closer than I thought, but he's ok!

My advice is that either is better than what I did. one day I took mine off midway and tossed them on the other side of the bed. Well, inthe excitement DH rolled over on them. They were totally bent. Then, when I had an ulcer on my eye and had to wear them, people would tell me they were crooked. All I could say was that I knew. I even had to take my nurse of the year picture with them all crooked. It is on the wall now so that people can make fun forever.

Oh no! That would totally be something I would do!!! I don't know how many people tell me that my glasses are crooked and I have to explain that it's cause my ears are crooked. I wouldn't want to have been in your shoes!! "My glasses are crooked cause we got a little excited in bed last night! LOL" Soooo not a conversation I would ever want to have!
ETA: Well we were successful today about Blind BDing! It was definitely an experience! No poked eyes and no misplaced parts! Heh heh heh
