Hubby and I have been ttc since March last year, and still no luck. Well, I shouldn't say no luck. I got pregnant late last year but miscarried on January 5 at around week 4/5. I was devastated. I got a period 26 days after the miscarriage, which was actually just like a period itself, lasting five days, it was just MUCH heavier and MUCH more painful than my periods ever are (which says a lot, since my periods are generally crippling). The period after the miscarriage was a normal period, 4 1/2 days long, normal pain, normal heaviness.

Right now my period's due in 2-4 days, I have no cramps (I usually get cramps a couple days before) and my breasts are more tender than normal. I had slight pinkish discharge around day 21 of my cycle, which is normally 26-28 days. According to the ovulation predictors, I should have been fertile from Feb 9 (my bday ) till Feb 14, and we did have sex often during that time.

My question is is it possible to get preggers so soon after miscarrying? How long is normal between miscarriage and pregnancy?

I'm so sorry for your loss! I believe it is possible to get pregnant so soon after miscarrying... Some Drs recommend waiting a cycle for you body to "heal" after your m/c, but others say it's fine to start trying right away (from what I've read).

Just so you know, you might get more info on the main ttc 6 months board with your question as this section is the graduates section for those who are currently pregnant or have had their babies. There are ladies on the main board who have been through similar things as you are right now, so I'm sure they'd be happy to help you!

I agree with the last post about finding some good advise, but with that said, I too had a early m/c last month in January, got my AF on 1/26, and Im currently pregnant this cycle. All looks good so far with this one. As long as you ovulate, that is the bodys way of saying I'm ready!!! Good luck to you, lots of baby dust.
