Has anyone ever temped just until they confirm ovulation and then stopped for the rest of the month? DH is trying to convince me not to give up (not like I would ever TOTALLY give up LOL and most certainly I cant stay away from here it would make me nuts without you ladies to whine to and chat with).

He is thinking that we can confirm ovulation, know that we did everything that we could to ensure a good chance at catching the egg and then stop so that I dont make myself nuts.

I am thinking that this might be a good course to take for next month but I have a feeling that he will have to hide the thermometer!

Thanks for being here for me - I couldnt do it without you!

I wanted to do that but my DR wanted me to chart all month so that he could see what was going on with me. I think it would be a lot less stress if you only charted till you knew that you ovulated what I did a month was after O I did not temp on the weekends becasue I did not want to get up early those days.

I have never done it, but I know some ladies do - to help relieve the stress. I would probably do it, but I am afraid I would get out of the habit and mess up when I need to start temping again.

That is what I did on the month I conceived. It was WAY too stressful watching my temps go up and down I decided I would be better off not knowing them.

I didn't really stress too much temping. I think that, for me, it took AWAY stress to know what was going on with my body--maybe out of curiosity, but also to have a record to show the docs when I needed to. Then I felt like they couldn't tell me that partial charts meant they had nothing to work with and come back in a few months. Grrr...

I know that lots of women do only partial charting and it works well for them. If you choose to do it, I hope it works for you!!! Maybe DH SHOULD hide that thermometer after you O! (No temptation...)

Well now that I know that I am ovulating and temps are ok I think that to relieve the stress I will temp until O is confirmed and then stop... heck I feel more relaxed just SAYING that LOL.

DH isnt ready to give up - but he is worried about the stress I am under to we made a "deal" - temp until O and then STOP.
