I can See at last! Great God Almighty I can see at last!

I got me some new contacts today and OMG- what a relief! I am finally free of those annoying 10 year old crooked glasses! WHOO HOO! I came out of the exam room and DH just smiled and said, "there's my non-dorky Girl" How romantic! I think he's just pleased that there will be no more blind BDing.

My eye Dr even told me it was time for new glasses. He said that even though I wear them so little, it'll be worth it since my prescription has been stable for the past 3 exams (4 years). The unfortunate part is, my eye insurance only covers 75% of EITHER contact lenses OR Glasses per 24 months. So I got 2 years worth of contacts for a lovely $3. and I'll have to buy my glasses out of pocket. My eyes are soooo bad, that I have to have a special lens for my glasses that has been shaved down otherwise it'll look like I'm wearing "cereal bowls" on my face (Dr's words- not mine), and those don't come cheap! So until I get a job, I'll be sporting the crooked bandits when I need them.

Oh yeah, and because I only spent $3 for 2 years of contacts (I was expecting to pay way more), I went out and ordered a new dress for a wedding we're going to in March! Woo Hoo!

OK, I'm done with the random post now... Sorry I went off on a crazy tangent there! I'm all done- I promise! And thanks for reading my rambling!

$3, that's awesome! I just went and got glasses last week and paid $25. I think I have it every 2 years too, but I hardly ever wear mine (for driving at night or sometimes I wear them to the movies. They're a very slight prescription, but it does make things clearer.)

yay for new contacts!

Oh wow, $3 is amazing! I have no eye coverage with our insurance, so glasses are not cheap. And hooray for a new dress!!

I know what it's like to no have Eye insurance. We had really good health insurance, but DH's company never offered the vision, so I always had to pay out of pocket. Definitely not fun, but very necessary. It's too darn bad that something that is so necessary can be so expensive! Unless you want the $10 frames that look like they're from the 70s! LOL
