Ok so after BDing last night I got to wondering...how do you ladies prop your hips up and for how long? Or do you at all? I do with a pillow, but I am not sure it is doing any good anyways....

I prop with a pillow for 20 minutes or so... hasn't done any good so far.

Our TTC journey: 6 cycles Clomid, lap surgery/ D&C, IUI, 2 x IVF; 33 cycles- BFN.
IVF#1 (March 2010) Transferred two 8-cell grade A (perfect) embies- BFN and heartbroken.

IVF#2/FET#1 (Jan/Feb 2011):Transferred two (7&8 cell) grade A (PERFECT) embies- BFN again.
March 2011- February 2012: On BCP due to endometriosis.

March 2012- taking a few months off of BCP and we are TTC naturally.
We will re-evaluate another IVF w/FET try in 2013.

I used to do that before with a pillow,but now i just gave up.I just lie down on my back for 30 mins .thats it.for normal SA(if u hv got SA done),raising hips after sex is not required .atleast thas what I heard.

I usually lay with a pillow under me for about 20 mins too. Sometimes I just fall asleep after. If it's not O time, I typically go to the bathroom right after, but I wouldn't do that if it was O time. Don't know if it matters though, but I still do it!

I have the hardest time laying there! I hate the feeling. this last cycle is the first time I've propped anything or even just stayed in bed. Hopefully it worked!

I usually just raise my knees for 5 or so minutes (that way the hips naturally tilt up a little bit). Or if we're not BD in the bedroom (sorry TMI) then I go into the bathroom and lay on the floor with my legs up on the sink, again naturally tilting the hips just enough to keep everything in. Weird I know, but it's actually quite comfortable.

I prop with a pillow folded in half for minimum of 20 mins and up to 1 hour.

I too, prop my butt/hips into the air with a pillow for at leaast 15-20 minutes, sometimes more if I can... I don't know if it helps, but I'll probably keep on doing it as I figure it can't hurt! DH once suggested that I lay upside down off the bed...I did, but it didn't help
