Well, the hockey team I work for made it to the playoffs... it's a good and a bad thing- Good for obvious reasons but bad because that means my poor MIL has a game on Friday night which is also the day of my FIL's heart surgery. This poor woman is the only person that has done this job for nearly 30 years, and she has only missed 2 games (for our wedding) and the place went into shambles. Her intern and I are trying to do as much of the workload as possible so she won't have to worry about anything. She asked if I would mind staying at her office while my DH took her to the hospital to be with her hubby. If that's where she needs me to be so she can have faith that everything is taken care of, that's where I'll be.

So, I will be going to work with her as often as she needs me to, and that means no JM during the day! Poopy!!! I do work on a computer selling the tickets, but she sits right behind me and can see my screen all day long, so I can't even sneak a peek in! Oh well, I'll hopefully be able to catch up with you guys in the evening.

Now for my question... I know I'm in the 2ww right now (well closer to the 1ww actually), but I have to get up really really early in order to get to the hockey rink to help my MIL (it's about an hour away), so I won't be able to temp at the same time as I normally do. I know it's not a big deal, but since I'm such an anal OCD perfectionist, I like to have all those little circles closed up. I realize this won't be the case so I wondered how accurate my temps will be if I take them like an hour earlier than normal? Anyone have any experience or advice? I'm just curious more than anything.

DH says that this is probably a good thing- that it's God's way of telling me not to obsess over my chart this cycle! He's probably right! He also reminded me of my plan to temp, but only write the temps down so I don't get my hopes up looking at what may be a pretty chart only to be disappointed. So my question is really just out of curiosity.

I don't think it will cause too many problems - you will be doing it all week so you will see a new pattern if there is one. That being said - I never take mine at the same time and it is fine for me for the most part.

My temps do crazy things if I don't take them at the same time every day. I have a proposition for you though. If you want, you can let me know the time you normally take your temp, and the time you took it and your temp, and I'll do the temp corrector.... unless your VIP subscription is still going on! You could do that too. This way you can see the difference. If it's not a huge difference, then it'll be ok to use the earlier temp with open circles. It may give you peace of mind.

I think I read the average is a .1 difference for each hour it's taken differently? I'd have to go analyze my temps to see how close that was to mine though. I honestly don't think mine are affected that much.

Cool... that makes sense about a new pattern if I do it consistently for a week. I'm not sure if I'll be working all week, I know for sure I am on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Wed and Thur are still up in the air. I guess I'll have to wait and see what happens!

That's an interesting idea... I do have the free VIP for like another day, so I used the temp corrector on today's temp. It was 97.77 at 5:40am and it corrected it to 97.95, so just under .2 degrees different. I normally temp at 6:30am. Doesn't that seem really high? I don't know! LOL... I put the corrected temp under the notes section, just to have it there. If this week plays out where I have to get up early and my VIP runs out, I might ask you to see what the corrected temps are! That's really sweet of you to offer! Thank you!

That definitely is a good idea! I honestly don't have any feelings either way about this cycle yet... I've been so busy that I haven't had time to thing about it which is a good thing! LOL

Hmmm... I think I've heard of the .1 degree per hour too... my was adjusted to just under a .2 degree difference though. I just don't know how accurate it is, so I'm not gonna put much stock into it! LOL

Thanks for all your help girls! I appreciate it! I will see what happens tomorrow and I'll let you know tomorrow evening!

From experience it didnt make a huge difference with me. I changed about .2 degrees for every hour earlier. Also FF has the great tool of allowing you to make a more accurate guess at what your temp would have been had you taken it at the same time. I forget where it is exactly other than under tools, but maybe check that out!

I hope this helps hun! And I cant wait to see your BFP!!

I think you're talking about the temperature corrector Alicia? If so, I did that for yesterday and today too (my last day of free VIP). I wrote them down under the notes section, but I think they both went up .2 degrees (or about that). I'm thinking I'll just leave my original temps in there unless something changes.
