Try the oatmeal followed by the cortisone. Keep the area dry but not arid, aside from the cortisone, because moisture will make it worse and too dry will make it even itchier. Hope it helps.[/b]

That's good advice. My plan is to really attack it at dawn! LOL. I don't have to work tomorrow, so Ill have more time to pay attention to it! That sounds really terrible- that I don't have time to pay attention to my rash

oohh i'm so sorry hun. that can't be fun!!!! have you tried light mixture of baking soda and water? i know i'm allergic to dandellions and when i break out from it, i soak in a bath of baking soda. it helps to neutralize the thing that's causing the rash. G/L!!!!
by the way, what hockey team do you work for? i'm a HUGE hockey fan. we have the admirals hockey where i live.[/b]

The funny thing is, I drink baking soda and water when I'm having a tomato reaction and I also soak in it. It helps from the inside out!
I work for a Division 1 College Hockey Team. It's Union College in Upstate NY. My MIL has been with the program for nearly 30 years, and apparently, I've become her "mini-me" (or so I've been called several times this week!)

I LOVE hockey myself... so I really married the right guy... he plays, loves to watch and his MIL works for a hockey program! Nice!

I don't have any suggestion, but I hope the other's suggestions work! I'm so sorry this happens this week of all weeks![/b]

Thanks Christine! I have the worst timing generally, so I really shouldn't have been surprised!

no advice other than what has already been said, but bless your heart you just can't get a break from the allergies.[/b]

Yeah, I'm batting a thousand here! Darn Tide from last week and now this! I should remember that this board if for people trying to conceive... not people dealing with allergies! LOL

So sorry you are going through this. Do you wear make up or have you changed the brand/type of make up you use? I know a lot of kids in my PR has gotten rashes on their faces when they got sick with one illness or another. I don't know if adults can get them though. I hope the above ideas help.
BTW - when AJ breaks out for tomatoes touching his skin we put him in a luke warm bath and wash him with his mild excema (he had really dry skin as a baby and I still use that body wash for him) soap.[/b]
|
Poor AJ! I know how he feels! I don't wear make up at all... The last time I wore it was to my wedding, so I'm fairly sure it's not that! I'm contemplating googling it, but I'm afraid I'll end up diagnosing myself with some rare flesh eating disease! LOL

Ughh...talk about frustrating....I would definitely try oatmeal....cortisone cream also worked some for me!
I remember when I was little I would break out in rashes from certain soaps and my grandma would always but pudding on it??? Not sure it helped but it felt good! haha[/b]
|
Yummmm!!! Pudding! I think I'll definitely try that one! And knowing me, I'll probably end up licking it off my face and eating it instead! LOL

I'm sorry Cris. I hope you are feeling better. I hate rashes more than anything. Do you have an urgent care clinic near you? Maybe it would be worth a visit. They might be able to kill it with a cortisone shot.

Thanks Juli! I do have tons of places I can go to get it checked out, however I've been working all week to help my MIL, and I have to be out of the house by 6am and I don't get home (or stop moving for that matter) until 10:30/11pm when I check JM and then crash! Oh the joys! If it doesn't get any better tomorrow I'm heading in to get it checked out though as I have the day off and my Mom has been nagging me about it. Texts, phone calls, emails... I might just go to keep her quiet! LOL
