so - wondering if 11dpo is to early to test? I have always had regular 28 day cycles. But this is my first clomid cycle and I think it put my ovulation off two day. So I ovlulated on CD16 (march 2nd) which would make today CD28 and 11DPO. Of course I tested today and it was BFN - now I think I missed the "O" and once again have to wait it out. I am really getting frustrated. My 40th birthday is Sunday and I really wanted to have a nice happy "present" for myself. I have been trying for sooo freaking long it is making me crazy. I have a 5 year old daughter that took me 5 YEARS to get (5 lost babies too). I don't think I could do that again. I guess I am just looking for some encouragement from you girls.

I have definitely heard that some people don't get BFPs until later than 11dpo. I TRY to wait to test until 12dpo for this reason, although that never happens lol

As far as missing the O, do you chart, use OPKs for check CM? Just curious!

Oh - Yes, I use OPK - I got a +++ on CD 14, + 15 and we BD on 14 and 16 so I am thinking I did not miss it. I think the clomid messed up my CM this month. I usually get LOTS of EWCM every month, but this month nothing. I got some stuff that should help that for next month. I have nothing in the way of symptoms so I am thinking that AF is gonna show up tommorow. UGH - this just sucks

Hi Christine! I usually try to wait until at least 12 dpo to test, but I'm a POAS Pansy so AF usually shows up before I end up testing. I hope that it was just too early for you to get a positive! Try to hang in there and I'm sending you lots of

I got my BFP at 11dpo but if you miscalculated your o date you might not actually be 11dpo yet. Either way, a lot of women don't get BFPs till much later, some not until till AF is due. Good luck!

I usually wait until 14 DPO after I know i should have started AF. I'm hoping that it was just too early to test for you;

Welcome, Christine. I say wait a couple of more days. You could have implanted at 10 DPO and still not have a high enough HCG to register (just an example of what *could* happen). Good luck to you and either way it turns out, welcome!

Welcome Christine. I try to never test until AF is due (at least 14 DPO). I hate getting BFN's. I would def. say that 11 DPO is early.

welcome christine!!! i'm lynda, one of the co-hosts of this forum. the odds for a bfp go way up after 12DPO. I am totally afraid to test, so i always wait it out so i don't have to see a bfn!!! G/L with your retest. I got a bfp for my last birthday, but sadly I miscarried for my second time.
