Any want to help out the fashion challenged?!?!?

I have a family wedding to go to next weekend and I just bought this dress. The model looks so much better in it than I do though! It's an odd color but very pretty. I love lime green. Anyhow, my DH likes to "coordinate" with my dresses when we get dressed up (his choice, not mine), so I wondered what color shirt and tie you might suggest that would look good and compliment the dress. Oh yeah, he's wearing a black suit.

I LOVE the dress!!

DH says grey or white shirt, with a tie that incorporates that color.

I am horrible at picturing things, but that sounds nice lol We want pics too!

Thanks Christine! And thank your DH for his advice! That's pretty much what my DH was thinking... grey or white with a colorful tie.

And of course I'll take pics!I just have to figure out what to do with my hair... I just chopped 6 inches of curls off and I'm not sure what I can do with it now that it's barely Ponytail length! LOL

I like Randy's suggestion. He could also do a green shirt, if he has a black tie. GL Cris!

I *might* avoid green unless you are able to get the shirt to match the dress perfectly. Otherwise you might clash.

I would stick with a white shirt, that will look great against the black suit and really make the tie pop. Plus the white/black combo will create a nice, clean background. Any tie that has the lime green color in it will look wonderful. If you don't have one, then a tie that is earthy-toned would complement your dress nicely.

Thanks Toni! He's really not big on the black tie, so he tries to avoid wearing the darn thing. It's a nice expensive one too! LOL.. Oh well!

Wow Juli! Have you been watching the Fashion channel? LOL... Just kidding! Thats some really great helpful info! And you put it in such a descriptive manner! You should be a writer!

I'll have to show him all your suggestions, cause quite frankly, he wouldn't trust anything I say! LOL... That's probably cause I can't even match my own clothes! Needless to say I own a lot of black! ;p

I think a light yellow shirt would look nice and spring-like. And you could still wear a tie with green in it. Just an option that's not as formal as a white shirt. I'm not big on the traditional black and white suite.

LOVE the dress BTW!

I love that dress! I would suggest a white shirt with a green tie (or tie with green in it). I always try to coordinate with DH when we attend events too!

I can't wait to see the pics.

I think a blue shirt would compliment it too, if it was the same intensity, but then again, I might just really like green and blue together!

I have a dress similar to that, I think its very pretty!

Thanks! I would have never thought of yellow! I'll have to go in the closet and see how his yellow shirt looks next to the dress!

Thanks Kim! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is "coordinated" to their DH. I kinda like it cause the pics always look good!
