I know many of you have been TTC even longer than me - so I know you understand. I went off any bcp in Sept 2006. We were pretty much NTNP then. After our loss last year we started to TTC (charting, OPK's, pre-seed, etc).
As I now enter cycle #12 I'm feeling so worn down. While I'm happy to see others get their BFP (especially when they've been trying for a while), it still brings me down. I just don't know if there is anything else that I can do (short of medical intervention).
As each cycle goes by I'm a little bit older and TTC is not going to be any easier. I'm just so frustrated
Thanks for reading - sorry if this is a little jumbled.

I understand how you feel, it really really suck! my only reccomendation to you would be to start tring to be more Proactive and go to the DR get some testing done, it definatly helps me be less neurotic to try and figure out what is wrong, considering I am a control freak!

You're completely entitled to feel that way, and I'm sure most of us would agree that we feel the same too. I'm so sorry you're onto a new cycle.

That's exactly how I felt at our 12cycle point. I think it's very natural to feel that way. I'm sorry that you have not gotten pregnant again yet. I'm praying that it happens soon for you

Completely normal. I think seeing your doctor would be a good idea.

I don't know entirely what you're feeling, as I've never been pregnant, and only been TTC for 7 months now. But I truly hope you don't have to deal with this much longer. We're all here for you in the meantime.

I had my FSH tested in the fall and it was normal. Right now I'd just like to know if there is a problem. Was our pregnancy a fluke (i.e. a longshot), or is there a problem? My Dr. won't refer me to an RE until after 1 year of TTC. I'm told that once we're referred it can take 4 -6 months for an appt, but that the testing is covered by our provincial health care. Any treatment (drugs, IUI, IVF) are not. I guess we'll see what my Dr. says next month.

Kim! I know that I definitely can understand that numb feeling. I think it is even harder when you get in your 30s and you know that time could potentially be limited. At least, I know that is how I feel. I feel like there is a ticking time bomb that is one day going to explode and tell me to stop trying because it is never going to happen.
Just know that we are totally here for you! There is nothing that I really want more than my TTC "veteran" girls to get their BFP!

Some doctors will refer you sooner if you are over a certain age or have reason to suspect you are having issues, would you be able to get a second opinion?

In theory I could get a second opinion, but we have a severe shortage of Drs. here - especially family doctors. Since I only have about 3 more weeks until my 12 cycles are up, I can wait. But I will be more assertive to get what I want!
Thanks for everyone's support!
