Getting Pregnant

Hello, Im Caillean and i am 25yrs old, i post over on the TTC 1yr+ board. I thought id come introduce myself here too thanks Hopingfor1soon

A little info on my journey so far, we decided to start ttc our first at the end of sept beginning of oct 2007, my cycles were regular around 27/28 days. Every month i was finding it harder and harder to see negatives on the tests, and then af showing up, so i took a break from all the testing, i was using OPK's and HPT's like there was no tomorrow

anyway in Sept last year i had an incredibly long cycle and for about 5 mins i thought i might be pregnant, all the tests came back negative and af showed. In Oct my cycle was really short only 16 days which i thought was just my body trying to make up for the long cycle before. I thought it would correct itself. From October last year till present my cycles have been ranging from 16/18 days long.
I knew within myself something wasnt right so i saw the doctor at the beginning of Feb and explained everything that was going on. Her fist thought was PCOS and ordered up blood tests, i went back the following morning to have the blood taken. I got some of the results back the same week which surprised me, the hormone ones that were back were normal, and the tyroid one came back indicating an underactive thyroid, which they are monitoring for 6months and retesting. Meds will start in 6 months if its still the same. The nurse that called with the results made an appointment for me to go in and speak with the doctor, at the appointment she told dh he was to have a sperm analysis done and that she was refering me onto see a specialist. Last week i got a letter from the doctors asking me to make an appointment as the rest of my blood results were back, so i called and got an appointment that afternoon. The last of the results were showing i had high lvls of testoterone indicating PCOS, doctor reffered me there and then for a scan to confirm it. At the moment i am waiting for the appointment to go see the obgyn at the hospital, and im hoping it wont take to long

Hi Caillean!!! I am so glad you decided to post over here!! YAY!!!
I am Alicia (22) and DH is Mike (22). We have been TTC#1 for 21 long months now! I have had lots of tests done, I was originally suspected of PCOS and thought to be not Oing...turns out I do O and PCOS is still slightly suspected but nothing is being done to treat it. We did a cycle of Injectables in October and decided that we needed a break from M/A for a while after that. So we have been taking things easy since then. But we are starting another cycle of Clomid again this month!! YAY!! I am totally excited to get back into things!

Anyways, I am one of the co-hosts over here along with Lynda so if you need anything at all just let me know!! I am so glad you decided to post over here! YAY!!

I am Christine, DH is Randy and we are TTC#1 since April. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in August and 6 weeks in December, so I'm hoping the next one is the one!

Welcome to the board. I'm Amanda (27) and DH is Michael (26), we have been married for 2 years and 9 months. Been TTC #1 since December 2006 with breaks for a deployment. We are currently on our 13th cycle with one miscarriage on Feb 6th of this year.
