I finally got to have acupuncture done. My gf graduates as a licensed acupuncturist in August, but she can treat patients now. I wanted to try it for a while because I have horrible tension in my neck/upper back that I see a chiropractor for. Plus fertility of course. So she did some points to help with fertility, and spotting before AF (since it was 5 days this cycle starting at 8dpo!). Then also my back.

She also did Cupping, which I hadn't heard of, but it was so neat! You may have seen Gweneth Paltrow had it done before a red carpet event, because it leaves bruising. It felt good though! I hope it helps!

How neat. I can't wait to see if it works.

That's awesome!! What is "cupping"?

Have you done progesterone tests to check on the early spotting?

Here are a couple links on cupping.

http://oasispalisades.wordpress.com/...ts-of-cupping/

It uses those little cups, and created a vacuum with your skin and pulls the skin and outer muscle into the cup. It supposedly will help with the huge knots I have. She used the moving technique where she put a lotion on, and slid the cups up and down inside my shoulder pain where the tightness is. It did feel good actually, although it did leave ugly bruising especially on one side. I wouldn't do it if I wasn't going to be wearing sweaters the next few days lol

I've had it checked twice. Once in my last pregnancy, probably about 15 or 16dpo and it was 12.5 or so. I had spotted a few days with that pregnancy, and I had the previous m/c so I was worried about it.

Then I had it tested at 8dpo not last cycle, the one before. It was 8.5. My Dr said that was "fine". I was a little upset because I do know that's on the low end, but I also know it changes each cycle, so unless I want to test it again, I'm trying not to freak out about it. God forbid I have another m/c because I'll never forgive myself if that is the problem. My Dr doesn't seem to think it is, but I also think he's more on the side of thinking that an inpending m/c is what causes prog to be low, not that low prog is going to cause a m/c.

Wow Christine... That sounds really interesting! I've been thinking about acupuncture for a while now but I haven't had the nerve to go ahead with it. I really hope that you see some great results from your session!
