okay ladies so the other day, FF gave me crosshairs and i thought they were nuts. Everyone i have spoken to, told me that you can't O when you still have HCG in your system. So I thought since i still had positive pregnancy tests, there was no way i could O. Well all signs indicate that I have indeed O'd and my BDing timing was bad.

My temp is up, my CM is totally gone and my cervix is moving lower and lower. I'm going to ask my OB when i see her next if it's possible to O with HCG still in your body, but i really do think I O'd. I wish I would have just kept BDing.

I did read on one website that it's the progesterone level in the body that will affect Oing, not the hcg. which kinda makes sense to me. cause when you get pregnant the progesterone rises to indicate to the body that conception occured and not to shed the lining. when the progesterone drops, it indicates to the body that there isn't a conception and to shed the lining and begin a new cycle.

well, all i can say is, i've been doing this along time and i really do think I O'd. Glad I O'd, but very sad i probably missed it. oh well here's to AF and moving on to a new cycle.

Sorry you might have missed it!

Fix your chart in your siggy by the way, I'll have to run to the CSR to stalk you

You're right about the progesterone, but I would find it odd that your body would ovulate with hcg in your system. Your body would think you were pregnant. I'm totally not saying it's not possible because I have no idea, but just thinking about the concept makes me wonder.

ETA: Your chart does totally look like you O'd. AND you BD 2 and 3 days before O, you do have a decent shot!

I'm not sure what to tell you about Oing and HCG. I wouldn't count yourself out just yet either... There was a girl on TTC#1 who BDed 3 days before O and got pregnant! SO there's a chance!

I think there's still a chance Lynda. My friend conceived 2 of hers by BD'ing every 3rd day, so you never know.
