I spot for a day (sometimes 2) before I start my flow. I'm always confused by this, do I count cycle day one as my first spotting day, or wait till I'm lightly flowing even??

Like today, I've started spotting, enough to show up on the TP when I wipe, but not enough to have to wear a pad yet. Would today be the first day of my cycle? Does anyone else start this way too?? (with spotting first)

Thanks!

Hey there! I spot for a day or two (or even three) also. Everything I have read and my doctor all say to count day 1 as the first day of red flow--where you need to wear something for it. Hope this helps you!
