I think you might find some of this to be funny... These are all things that have happened today...

-I spent an hour on the phone with our insurance company working on understanding what is covered with infertility, what is subject to the deductable and what the heck co-insurance means. (please don't laugh... I've almost figured out what it means ). Why is this stuff so confusing! I have to send a special shout-out to my buddy Carol (our insurance lady) who was patient enough to talk me through things!

-I'm not sure we can swing the HSG this cycle. Essentially we have to pay a couple grand before anything is covered in full. (Deductables and co-insurance). I wouldn't be so concerned but we just sank like $550 into DH's car because he hit a big pothole that did damage. DH told me not to worry. I asked him where he planted the money tree! LOL I'll call tomorrow to find out pricing and stuff. My Dr also said something about payment plans, so I'll check on that too. This is NOT something I will let slide for more than a cycle or 2.. we will figure it out.

-While talking with the insurance lady, while she was listing what was covered and what wasn't, she told me that they do not cover Human Cloning. She just said it so matter-of-factly I had to reply with "Oh man! You're kidding me...There goes that plan" The lady thought I was serious at first, but then laughed for a good few minutes.

-I've decided that there should be a class in High School called "LIFE 101"... It should cover the following: Insurance- definitions, practical uses for and examples of use; Finances- what to do when the economy kicks everyone's *****; and finally Fertility- what you can expect and what you should NEVER say to anyone who MIGHT be trying for a baby.

-I've been trying real hard to get a new job because I had a feeling that we'd need to go the MA route and I wanted to avoid using our savings. But with this economy, unless I'm a certified Fork lift operator or a Big Rig Driver , I'm out of luck in my area! I think I'm gonna go apply at McDonalds... at least it's an honest days work! LOL and I can have all the McFun I want!

-After 75million people looked at my busted laptop, it took one of DH's 17 year old Lacrosse players to figure it out! I apparently need a new motherboard I'll likely end up just getting it fixed rather than a new laptop cause I want to put all our extra money towards MA and I love my computer. The kid won't take any money for working on it- just for the part, so I'm trying to come up with a nice idea to thank him for all that he's doing/will do.

-I somehow have become a member of the Lacrosse Team's Booster Club. Yes, I'm 29, have no children and am on a high school booster club. I'll feel out of place at the meetings, but I know a lot of the ladies already. Apparently, I'll be a key player in the Spaghetti dinner coming up soon!

-DH's players have conned him into doing the team fundraiser with them. They are selling cookies. I can picture him going door to door with his little cookie book soliciting people to buy the WAY over-priced (yet very tasty) cookies.

-Thanks to you ladies, I've become a Facebook fanatic. I find myself checking it every 10 minutes! It's fun stuff! Thanks for helping me find a new obsession! And thanks for being my friends on there!

So, now that you know I'm a complete whack job you can go on with your day (or evening). I hope my antics have brought you a few laughs. At least I'm laughing at my situations rather than crying or pulling my hair out, right?

Great update, Cris! I had to chuckle about the Life 101 class because I totally agree. I cannot understand the insurance lingo WHAT SO EVER!! Everytime you call, you get a different answer.

Well I'm glad that I was able to make you guys laugh! I love making people laugh! And since we all have enough stress in our lives right now, I thought a little chuckle at Cris was in order!

I seriously just sat in bed last night and laughed and laughed at what is going on in my life! Did I ever think I'd be fumbling with my insurance trying to say the real name for HSG (Cause God knows they don't understand abbreviations at the insurance company), trying to figure out the best time for my husband to become intimate with a cup , how I can help a Lax team raise money for new uniforms, how cute I'd look in a McVisor and McUniform or behind the wheel of a Mack truck B) , and how I can get around the insurance company's policies on Human cloning (Cause lets face it ladies, the world needs another one of me!!! ) And that's all just in one day... Yeah, my grandkids are gonna think I'm a total whack job one day! LOL

Then as I'm drifting off to sleep, it suddenly dawns on me that once this 17 year old kid gets my computer up and running, if it restores to my last online session, it'll pop up to JM. Plus, I have all my "for when I have a baby" files on there plain as day. I know he's going to be cleaning up the hard drive and stuff for me to "optimize it's performance", so he'll likely see all this stuff.

So apparently, the first person in real life (besides my Dr and Toni) who will know we're ttc is a 17 year old high school lacrosse player! OOPS!!!

You know at this point, I think I'm done with the tears.... I've moved on to the uncontrolable laughter about how life just isn't what I ever thought it would be! When I saw some spotting this morning, I just laughed. Why cry over the things I can't control anymore! (I say that now, but in a few days, watch, I'll be a blubbering idiot! )

I'm gald my crazy antics have given you all a laugh though cause lets face it, laughter is the best medicine, right?

As I'm typing this, I'm sitting with the phone in my lap on speaker phone waiting to talk to someone about the cost of DH's SA. If the stupid recorded guy says; "Please continue to hold, all our representatives are currently helping other customers. We apologize for any inconvience... your call is very important to us and well will be with you as soon as possible." one more time, I'll reach through the phone and strangle him.

HELLO!!! If my call is so darn important, why have I been on hold for 43 minutes? (seriously) I SOOOO badly want to hang up, but I'm afraid that I'm like the next caller and I'll miss my chance! Did you ever see that episode of Friends where Pheobe is waiting on hold for like days? Yeah, I feel like that!

OK these people get 4 more minutes of my time... then I'm done. I can call on Monday morning right when they open. I'll set my alarm if I have to! I have better things to do that sit around and wait for them... I can so be on facebook right now!

Yeah... I did. I waited 52 minutes and then I was just done! LOL... I probably waited a lot longer than I should have, but oh well!

I used to work in customer service.. 52 mins on hold for anything is outrageous! I would have kept on pressing "0" thats what I do with everything and I usually get through pretty fast.. (it was a trick I learned while working in customer service!)

Thanks for the chuckles Cris - I'm sorry that some of them are at your expense! It's maybe a good thing that a 17 year old is going to see JM. Then he'll have a better understanding of the stresses of TTC when he's older!

I didn't know that! I'll have to try that on Monday when I call back... either that or I'll take the 15 minute drive to the lab and ask them in person. I think I'll make them wait for 52 minutes for me to ask them! And I'll keep telling them, "Thank you for your paitence..." Hmm... I like that idea!

I had never thought of that! Talk about your Birds and Bees talk! LOL... I can picturing him google-ing "EWCM" and "FRER" wondering what the heck they are!

Maybe I can enroll him in my Life 101 class! I hope that he won't have to go through these stresses when he's older though! No one should have to!
