So I was just told that my HSG will not be covered by my insurance. Do any of you know how much yours was? I'm really worried about this! I may just tell the Dr. we're going to hold off for now. Why do things have to be so darn difficult?

I've been wondering how much it is myself. Ours is covered, but we have to meet the deductable, then co-insurance so I'll probably be paying for it myself. I plan on calling the Dr on Monday to find out the cost for us... Once I do, I'll let you know! We might have to put it off for a cycle ourselves! I hope for us both that they aren't very expensive so we can take the next step!

I'm interested to hear if anyone else has any idea!

I think Ash_Les said that her's was going to be 500 dollars without insurance but each Dr. will charge a different price and if you aren't going to be able to have insurance cover it sometimes they will lower the price for you.

Don't know - mine is supposed to be covered as long as it isn't done in the doctor's office. It is considered diagnostic. Good Luck!

I called the billing department at the hospital and they said it was estimated at 700.00. Dh just sent his sample to the lab, so I think we're going to wait to schedule it until we get the results. It's just very frustrating!

They told me that if I was self pay, the test would cost $556. That did not include the radiologists fee to read the results.

I just checked my insurance site, showing the claims as they went through. Like Christina said, every place will be different.. I only had to pay a portion because it was diagnostic, but the costs (full price) were:
$896. for the procedure
$298 for the radiology fee

I guess everything is more expensive up here.
