Last night my DH and MIL put together a little birthday party for my FIL and I. We had dinner and cake with family both my family and DH's aunts and uncles and stuff. It was a nice time.
Right as they were singing Happy Birthday to us, What do I feel arrive? That's right, AF. What timing. I'm holding DH's 2 year old cousin at the time and I just started laughing. I couldn't stop. Everyone finished the song and stared at me... I was literally laughing uncontrollably. I made up some story about how DH's little cousin had a series of "gas" passing while eveyone was singing and I thought it was funny. I told DH later what had happened and he was shocked that I laughed instead of cried.
So, I guess my laugh it off mentality is working.
Oh yeah- quick question... I usually wouldn't worry about this, but since AF showed at like 7/7:30pm yesterday, would I count that as CD 1, or would I count today? I only ask cause I have to go get my blook drawn on CD3 or 4 (per my Dr's request) and I don't want to screw that up! Thanks!

TCOYF says first day of full flow is CD 1, so I would say yesterday is CD 1. I am sorry she showed, especially at a time like that. I understand your laughing though. It's so much easier to laugh than cry.

I'm sorry the witch showed. I, personally, agree with Ash that I would count yesterday as CD 1. However, when my RE wrote out my scripts for my CD 3 b/w and u/s, he told me that they consider CD1 as the first full day of flow before noon.

Sorry she showed Cris. But I'm excited for your future!
When my AF comes late at night (last month it was just about midnight, the time before it was like 11pm), I count the next day as CD1, really so I can know my LPs are lengthening. Like, technically it was 1 hour away from a 12 day LP, but I didn't want to mark it as 11.
But if it was as early as 7:30, I'd probably mark that as CD1. Although what Jackie says is interesting too! LOL I have no idea

I'm sorry the witch showed Cris. Maybe try to get your CD3 bloodwork drawn later in the day and count yesterday as CD1.
I guess it's a good thing that you started laughing instead of shouting out a swear word!
Good luck this cycle!

Thanks girls! Now I'm even more confused about CD 1! LMAO... I think what I'll do is call the lab and see when they can get me in for the bw between tomorrow afternoon and Tuesday morning. I think that's a fair compromise for the CD issue. My Dr said that either CD 3 or CD4 would be ok (in case CD3 was on a day the lab was closed).
Then when I go in, I can maybe find the billing department and ask who kept me on hold for 50 minutes the other day!

I'm agreeing wth Ash, If there is a flow on that day then I consider it CD 1. I think maybe trying to see if you can do the labs later in the day would be a good idea so its closer to 72 hours since cycle started. I'm sorry she showed up. I was holding out for you.

Aw, thanks Amanda! I was hoping that at least one of us would have gotten it! I think trying to get it done as close to 72 hours after AF arrived is a good plan for us. That way I can do it on our way down to DH's Lacrosse game! LOL... The timing actually works ok for us for once!

If it was flow and didn't stop/become spotting then it is CD 1.

It's crazy how there are so many different opinions on what time CD1 can start! LOL... Well I decided that Saturday was CD1, since I had some heavier spotting in the morning and she just took her time coming. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong... Oh well, right? I went and had the bw done today so now we'll just wait for the results and for AF to leave!
