OK, so that was SOOO no big deal. I personally didn't feel anything hardly at all. I felt a slight cramp when he put the catheter through my cervix and again another little cramp when he inflated the balloon, but really felt nothing when they injected the contrast.
I have no idea why they told me to not eat or drink and to have a driver. That nurse was nuts-o! I am back at work, just like I thought I would be. I would say that the worst part was the speculum and having a man "down there". I don't know why, but that always makes me uncomfortable.
Anyway, so "preliminarily" the radiologist said that my tubes appear open, but he will take a closer look once he gets the films. I could see everything on the screen. I saw the dye filling my uterus and then spilling into my fallopian tubes. I didn't realize what I was looking at when it started spilling into the tubes, but I did get a quick glance. They looked open to me too!
Anyway, so now we just need to focus our attention on catching that eggie! I have no idea how we have missed so many, but what's a girl to do, but have more SEX! LOL!

I am glad it wasn't bad. A friend of mine that had one done told me to ask for a Valium.

That's great news, Ash!! You must have a higher pain tolerance than me (or at least, wider and more welcoming tubes). I cried throughout my entire HSG - I felt like someone was trying to tear open my insides. I am a big wimp though...

Oh man, that stinks! I am sorry that happened to you, but SOOOO glad that I didn't experience the same thing. I will say that I probably do have a pretty high pain tolerance.

Got the official results today...Normal HSG! WOO-HOO! I guess I need to quit worrying and just "relax and let it happen". I so want to smack myself for saying that!
