My baby is no longer a baby. He slept in his big boy bed last night (crib made into a toddler bed). Makes me very sad to see the crib no longer a crib. I think I posted about it before (I always thought it would be going to the next baby when AJ needed the big boy bed). We had to change out the brackets that were holding up the mattress board - they were recalled and we recently got the replacements. Thought I would share some pics of AJ's trial run of sleeping in the big boy bed.

I know it's tough to see him grow up while you are still wanting another.. He is just the cutest.

That's a big step for you guys!!! I hope that he transitions well and I hope that you'll have to put the crib back together really soon for a new baby! He really does look like he's getting so big! And as always, he too cute!

He slept great in it last night (not a peep from him till I went in and woke him up) and he "napped" quietly in his room. He was awake when I went and got him up from his nap but he was playing in his bed from what I could tell. He doesn't always nap, but we at least have quiet time. He has toys in his room so he could play if he didn't want to sleep.

We are going to work on getting his BIG big boy bed fixed, cleaned up, buy a mattress and put it all together (we inherited it when we bought the house) and then the crib will come apart completely and pack up all the blankets and sheets until they next baby comes where I will wait to even do anything to the new baby's room till he or she arrives so I can pick out a color for the walls and then set the room up. I hope I get to do that all in 9 months or so.
