I had a Dr appt today to request a referral to an RE. She asked me if I'm on Pre-natals - of course. She told me to add an additional folic acid supplement. She also told me to switch from cod liver oil tablets to Expectora (I think that's what it's called) - it's an Omega 3 supplement.

She gave me the lab papers for a new FSH test (I had one in Sept that turned out fine), and for a progesterone test. Also gave me the paperwork for DH's SA. --- I didn't tell DH about the appt 'cause I didn't think that she would order any tests. This is gonna be a fun conversation tonight.

She also put in a referral to the fertility clinic. An appt can take about 6 months to get. She said that they will base the appt urgency on our test results and our age. We're not 25, but we're not 40 either so who knows when that appt will come.

She said that because my cycles are very regular, it actually limits the tests that she can run.

Anyway - sorry for the novel. We won't know anything for a long time. I'm on CD 6 so it's 2 weeks before I can do the progesterone test and a month for the FSH. And who knows how long it will take me to convince DH to "do it" with a cup?!

Good Luck with the convo tonight. I hope you can convince him to do it quickly and get it over with.

I'm glad that you're working on moving forward Kim! I hope that you can convince your DH to "do it" with a cup. (Totally LOL at that one since I have said it to my DH that way too!) Good luck with everything and definitely keep us posted!!!

I talked to DH. He's fine with doing a SA! Now I just have to get him to actually go and do it (we're talking about the guy who forgets to renew his driver's license unless I take him to the registry office!).

wow that had to be a fun talk!!! glad he was open to the SA. some men get so funny about it. I joke about it with my DH and he always says in a joking way too, oh it's not me hun!!! these swimmers are top notch. then we laugh... i know it's going to take some time for the testing, but perhaps you'll get a nice surprise and you won't need the testing... G/L
