I do not want this to turn into a debate and it never does here, but i just thought i'd start with that...

so what do you think about the taxes we american's pay...

We pay more than enough. We went to a Tea Party on the 15th - whats that tell ya! LOL

I think we pay a lot but I also believe that we are a society that expects a lot from it's government. With our current situation with the war and the economy I do not see anything wrong with the amount of taxes that we currently pay.

I tend to think it's stupid that my husband (being military) technically pays his own salary by paying taxes. lol... but we get a lot in return so I'm OK with that.

I can't comment on the US taxes, but sometimes when I look at all the taxes off my paycheque I just sigh.
