Well I scheduled my HSG this morning. OB wanted me to do it as soon as AF left and they said if I am spotting that it will be okay. The downside (and upside) is that they only do them at 8:30 in the morning! YIKES - I am so not a morning person. The upside is that DH can stay home with AJ and if I need a ride he will come get me (providing we are back to 2 cars by then) and we will go get my car later on. Otherwise we may all go in at 7am. I have to be there a hour and a half before my appt to do a serum pregnancy test.

So, my appt is April 30th at 8:30am. I am pretty sure I will be done with AF or just spotting that day.

I'm glad you have it scheduled and you're going to get it over with! You should have no problem driving yourself home, but it's nice to have that option.

Well we are having some problems with our insurance - it is supposed to be cleared up before the appt, but I may have to reschedule - DH is looking into it. Can't do it without insurance cause it will be about $1500.00 and we don't even have that much on the credit card.

Well - no HSG tomorrow! Stupid Insurance! I hate that insurance company! I rescheduled for next week but if they (the insurance company) drags there feet I may have to cancel that one too and RE-reschedule it.

Does anyone know if you have to have the HSG done before ovulation? If you have had one, how late in your cycle did you have it? The 6th is cutting it close to ovulation for me.

Ugh! I'm sorry that you had to cancel! I'm frustrated for you! My Dr told me that they wouldn't do the HSG on me unless it was before I O'ed so that I wouldn't be out a cycle. I don't know if there's ny medical reason you can't, but if I were you, I'd want every chance I could to get the eggie! Hopefully it will all work out for you!

My OB wouldn't do it after cycle day 10. I definitely would want it done before ovulation (well before, because you'll be flushing out all the spermies if not). My OB actually told me I had to abstain until after the HSG was done- so there was no chance of anything. I'm so sorry your insurance company is stinking it up.

When I had my HSG, I think the doctor said it had to be scheduled at the latest CD12.
