smoked cigarettes?

I tried one once cause of curiosity and i couldn't see the pleasure in it. NEVER did it again!!!

I smoked for 7 years from the age of 14 till I was 21. I quit cold turkey it was the best thing that I ever did for myself. I'm 7 years without them now~~~

I grew up with a smoking mother and most of my family has smoked at one time or a nother if they aren't still smoking now. I have never ever tried one! I never liked the smell or anything about it.

DH hasn't either - he didn't even smoke the cigar from AJ's birth.

I smoked a few cigarettes in high school- my bff at the time smoked, so it seemed "ok" to do while around her. It was just in very social settings.

I haven't done that since high school, but oddly enough, Jon and I both enjoy a cigar every now and again when it's nice outside and we can just go sit outside and relax. I like the flavored ones with filters... but that's MAYBE one a month.

I have never smoked ever.. and i have no plan on starting.. however, it's the funniest thing.. i had a dream i took one from my brother(who does smoke) and started to smoke it.. DH told me he used to smoke cigars while he was in the Navy.. but he doesn't any more.. well atleast he hasn't since i've known him... I'm glad he doesn't have that habbit ne more.

Never have. I grew up with a Mom who smoked until just 2 years ago and I detest it!

Everyone around me has smoked (Mom quit when my Stepfather died, my Stepfather died of throat cancer, my Father died of Brain cancer, and my DH just quit on New Year's! ) and I used to smoke back in high school, but I quit when I started University because I knew I had no excuse for smoking. I knew too well it's affects! But DH was a heavy smoker, very proud of him quiting for good this time! And TTC was an obvious part of his decision to quit, so it shows he takes this very seriously too.

I smoked until about half way through med school. The guilt of having professors and other students see me smoking outside got to me. My DH makes fun of me because I didn't quit for what I know are the horrible health reasons, or the fact that he always begged me to quit, it was the fact that I couldn't take the stares of my classmates. I felt so ashamed. I guess in the privacy of my own home, I could lie to myself that it was not bad.

But, I do miss it sometimes. It's been five years, but I still sometimes crave just one.
