Hi,

I am very sad and confused this morning. This cycle is my first on Clomid and I have been taking it CD 5-9. Everything I read and was told indicates that ovulation should take place 5-12 days after the last Clomid pill. We were going to start BDing CD 10 and then every other day. On Saturday (CD 9), I took my last Clomid pill in the morning and during the night I woke up with slight O type pain but I told myself it was way too early. Sunday (CD 10) my temperature went up so it looks like I ovulated on CD 9 before we even had a chance to BD.

I just feel so disappointed. My dr will only prescribe Clomid for 3 cycles and cycle 1 is now over with no hope of pg.

Is it normal O this early on Clomid?

I think that I o'ed on CD 14 here is my chart http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/9a36a I don't think that I have seen anyone O that early on it but it did give me hot flashes. I would keep BD for sure till you get a cover line and don't give up yet.

I too had hot flashes on Clomid. I took mine from CD5 to 9. I Oed on CD17. I had the hot flashes for about a week but my temps went back to normal in time to get accurate O temp readings.

Good luck. I agree that you should keep on BDing. They say that O can occur 5 to 10 days after the last pill. Mine was 8 days after the last pill.

Here's a dumb question-so if you take clomid days 3-7 does that mean you may o sooner than if you took it days 5-9?

When I checked FF chart gallery for clomid charts, I noticed that women taking it 3-7 sometimes O'ed on CD 13 (5 days after last dose). So, yes I think you may o sooner on 3-7 then 5-9 but I don't think it makes a big difference.

I just wanted to thak all of you for replying and also to update the situation. My temperature went back down today so I am hopeful that I haven't O'ed yet.

I was too stressed out to temp yesterday and I threw out the Monday temp from my chart becasue I think it was caused by a hot flash or maybe not sleeping well.
